    Morning all.
    Happy Anniversary to the Taps.
P-P hope your pain gets sorted soon.

Got a bit of a muzzy head after a night out last night with 2 friends we've not seen since Christmas. The pub that used to be our local before we moved here has a Tapas night on Fridays, and it was really good value and lovely food,so we had a good evening. We're going again tonight as our godsons band is on.I've not been out for weeks, then 2 nights together.
The kitchen is a bit messy so going to sort that in a minute.I don't know what to do for tea, will have a root about in the freezer.
Have a good weekend everyone x

    Hi peeps
    Happy Anniversary Taplady!!
(((hugs))) penpin. Hope you get some relief from pain soon. Please don't say you're moaning because you aren't.
Rain here now but before it started we managed to get our youngest dog out for a good walk. Well..not good in that she managed to get into a stagnant ditch so had black legs and feet. Washed her legs under the tap in the garden with a bar of Fairy soap (she has allergies ) so she wasn't amused but was very brave. Our older dog was most interested in the horrible bathing session so she supervised. Her leg is a lot better but we left her behind as she isn't up to walks yet (try telling her that though).
WM has been on and will have to put washing on the airer. Now it has its 2nd load with muddy dog towels.
Lunch today will be ham and salad sandwiches.
Tea is soup then fish, pots and salad.
Plan to go to the library in the next town to meet a friend from work so that will be nice. Apart from that, a fairly lazy day.
Oh - I have deep cleaned the bathroom this morning though - with Stardrops, vinegar and water mix. Even did the floor with it, on my hands and knees with a rag. Yes, I'd like a medal please :D.
(((hugs))) to those who are under the weather just now.

Had a lazy morning and only got up after 10...I am exhausted by all you people who manage to be up and running by 6.30....did it when I worked but can't seem to ever manage it now!

Congratulations to Taplady and OH...the years fly by don't they??

Need to do some washing to-day and a bit (??) of tidying in my bedroom, its like a bomb site, need to re-organise the junk that lives there....wish I could just throw things out but needs a major thought process for anything...don't think that I will improve at this stage.

OH has just come back with steak for dinner....neither DD or I are mad about steak so may stir fry some for us, find it most palatable that way.

Welcome back Aussie....good luck to OH with family tree...OZ records are very good and if has names or years at all they should be easy enough to find.

Beth, enjoy your aunt's visit....my last surviving aunt will be 100 in August but has had dementia for several years so isn't always with the programme....she and I were very close and she usually knows me when I go visit, but it would be nice to have a chat like we used to have.

Nothing planned here for to-day, its windy and cold so not going near the garden, weather to improve next week so will do it then. Should hoover around downstairs but may cook instead....that's what I feel like doing at present, have to go to town for about an hour later, and then back to the knitting.

Have a good day all, welcome to all newbies, hugs to anyone who needs or wants one, congratulations to all who are celebrating.

Back from my trip to the bank etc, Tesco was manic, the car park was full, just managed to get a space, so did my errands in reverse order. Waited 35 minutes to get through a checkout.....and that was a do it yourself one.....then another 10 minutes to get out of the car park. Arrived home to find OH in bed with a DD.

Have just had cheese and biscuits for my lunch, will be shooting off out again in about an hour to visit my friend. OH should be up again by then.....if he isn't he will just have to fend for himself when he does get up.

The fridge and freezer are beginning to look a bit bare, I did get some reduced pork chops at Tesco and also picked up some fish, I am going to do a menu plan for the next 12 days till we move....will have to get a few supplies in, but not much, have bacon, sausage, liver, pork chops, eggs a beef and bean casserole and of course the chicken which will do us for 3 meals next week, cheese, fish, not sure whats in the store cupboard I can use will have to have a look later, but I can manage to rustle something up from that lot.

Its very cold here, keeps coming over cloudy and a few spots of rain now and then, was glad I put my thicker coat on with the fleece lining.........
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

PenPin i have just been looking at an old thread about cooking pork chops. I saw your entry for cooking in mushrooom soup. it sounds lovely and I would like to try it tomorrow for lunch. Do I have to brown chops first and how long does it take?

DH and two of the DDs have gone off for a drive and walk in the country leaving me to gulp down hot drinks, sneeze and sniffle in peace.

DD(20) got back an hour ago soaked through so got her dried off, warmed in front of the fire with a hot drink and some home made fruit loaf with butter then packed her off to bed for a couple of hours with a hot water bottle.

Wanted to say hello and offer a hug especially to Penny Pincher, smokey, aussielass and StephJB.

Happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs Taplady.

We will be 27 years at the end of May.

Have some home made chicken lasagne left from yesterday that we can have for tea and need to soak some peas for tomorrow's lunch. Hope DH thinks to bring back some veg as I don't feel up to going shopping tonight.
