    Morning all,

I am sitting up in bed with the lappie, a cuppa, and a slice of toast :D I have two teenage girls sprawled all over my lounge floor fast asleep with little dog right in the middle  , I will give them a bit longer and then try to raise them. The other girl is really nice they have just moved to the area so she is new at school, but she seems to have settled in quickly, and is really chatty and polite, she can come again:D .

Squigly, next time you come to Bognor make a detour to Barnham, (only a few miles out of your way), or pop into see me, and I will take you, there is a discount shop there called the Trading post, which sells all manner of bargain food, including the ham hocks, which are between £1.70 and £2.00 for a huge one, well worth the detour.

Aussie nice to see you posting, I heve missed you, I hope what ever is upsetting you gets sorted soon :kisses3: .

Taplady, Happy anniversary to you both, if you are giving him a present a la Hester watch his bad back :D

Got my Gas and electric bill in for the winter yesterday  , now I thought I had been very carefull, everything is turned off if not in use, heating has been off since about the beginning of March, but I owed them £272.00  that was on top of the £41 pm I was paying, they wanted me to put my dd up to £133 pm, to cover what I owed, there was no way I could have afforded that, so i took the money from my house move savings and paid if off, and put the dd p to £65 pm, which should just cover it. So we are going to have to be extra carefull from now on, I dont want another bill like that, that is the most expensive bill I have ever had, and I have been here 15 years.

Smoky, Hugs to you hun, I dont know what to say which will be any help at all, but we are all here for you, an army of good friends xx

Stef I hope all calms down for your dd, how is your perfect gent ? :D

    Bemuzed welcome back hun xx

Kathy, hope all is ok with you xx

Well I have moiliered on this morning, better go and see if I can wake those girls, we are off into town later, and it takes them an age to get ready

    Have good days all xx

  • Morning all,

I'm new here, hooked on MSE for one month now, what a great place to be:j
Would like to pop in when I can and say hello, I'm recognising familiar names now....
Happy Anniversary Mrs Taplady and DH:love:. 25 years for us this year, can't believe it. We don't make much of a fuss over anniversaries, actually we quite often forget:o

just looking forward to being at home with nothing on.

Essex girl it's a bit chilly down south today, best wrap up:D.

Weather wet and windy in Hemel Hempstead, WM on, DW not washing very well this week so have shoved half a bottle of drain unblocker down the waste pipe, (just using it up, next time I'll do it the OS way).

I'm off for a look around charity shops this morning , haven't been for ages and am missing boot sales so much I need a fix. Had a really long week at work so I want to do something just for pleasure today.

Last night I won an electric meat slicer on Ebay for £3.41 plus £3 postage, thought it was worth taking a chance at that price....I want to start cooking my own ham and slicing it for the week, packet ham is sooo expensive now. Thanks to OSers for that tip:T .
Also took delivery of a piano last night:j , a friend of a friend was putting it on Freecycle and I heard about it first...oooh I'm so excited, I had piano lessons about 10 years ago but the old piano I had was rubbish so we got rid of it. I've wanted another one ever since but never had spare cash to buy one. It's a lovely piano, only 2 owners from new (since 1930, it even has the first owners' details inside!). I'm giving our electric keyboard and stand to a friend for her young daughter, will deliver that this morning while I'm out and about,
Now I've got to re-arrange my kitchen/diner, the piano is in place but my kitchen table is too large...will put on Ebay later and look out for a small wooden table, might call in to my local second-hand furniture shop later.

HM chicken curry tonight (have to have this every Saturday night) then back on MSE I expect:D

Have a good Saturday everyone x

    Morning all,
DH woke me when he got up at 5.30 to watch the GP qualifying. I could have done with more sleep as I just know DA & her OH will keep us up till the early hours. DAunt can talk for England.
BM finished and leek & pot soup done for lunch. I'm doing chick breasts stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon, jacket pots, and salad for dinner and a pavlova for pud. The meringue is in the oven now. I'll fill with strawberries and kiwi and serve with cream. Hopefully they will be full and tired and want an early night.
Got to vacume and polish downstairs and finish DD2's ironing, if I've got time I'll make a start on ours. Ha, wishfull thinking.
    Happy Anniversary TAPLADY and TAPLORD.

Morning All, it doesn't seem too bad a day outside today. Woke up at 5.30am this morning to make my OH a cup of tea and feed the dogs before he went off for his interview 2 hour drive each way so he won't be back till gone midday I doubt. I then went back to sleep for a couple more hours!! hehe!

    Happy Anniversary to Taplady.

O/S - DW on, hoovered, washing put on drier, going to clean shower room and bathroom soon after finishing my cuppa.

Hope you all have a good day.
  • Hiya I am having a chilled day I am a football widow this weekend and not seen OH but I am not worried he seems to be ok though which is a good thing I am hoping to curl up in the day with him at somepoint next week.
Am still waiting for my cheque to come through from the housing people as I want to make a start on my patio pots and put my tomatoes out into proper things and then get my little greenhouse and plant more seeds and veggies.

O/S will be my stirfry :)
Of all the things I have lost I miss my mind the most
£2,960 in debt to RBS paying off at £10 a Fortnight
  • Aussie, great to see you posting - have missed you!!! I speed-read at first & thought you'd put you'd made "bra muffins". I was just wondering what they were....

Redruby, oh lovely, thank you :) I'll let you know - not likely to be until early June at this rate! My DD's tastes are becoming more refined & my youngest told me to buy "nice proper" ham - not the wafer thin packet stuff I usually get..lol!!! I'm with her though, much rather have some big chunky pieces. With cheese, and some onion marmalade... Oooh, if I get some crusty bread this morning, that's lunch sorted :)

I have a selection of teenagers all over my lounge floor too - they've been awake all night watching dvd's. Just the thought of that tires me out. I also have a feeling my next quarterly gas/electric bill is going to be like that, despite having capped last September. I would rather pay the extra chunk owing & keep the DD the same I think too.

Anyhow, still procrastinating rather than getting on with some study. Will get a cuppa & do some work. 10 more weeks to go.
