Still no snow here, it's another glorious day!
I seem to have spent the whole week sat in the car stuck in traffic jams & I cannot face it again today. I'm going into Manchester on the train! It works out quite well actually cos after my meeting I can go straight to Leeds to meet OH from work, find a bite to eat somewhere then go to the rugby. I've got my thermals ready, it is going to be COLD!
Lunch will be whatever I can find in Manchester, either a Boots meal deal with my points or something from M&S as I have a few vouchers to use, so won't be spending any "real" money.
Have a lovely day folks0 -

Morning everyone
Another cold but sunny day here - we are promised some snow this afternoon, but expect it will only be a squiffDs1 will be disappointed but DS2 has told me he doesn't like snow
Want to pop into town later and go to the market and library. Don't know whether to go this morning and drag DS2 with me or this afternoon when he's at pre-school (thus meaning I can't do an hour of 'me' things) Depends on how long it takes me to get showered and ready I suppose
A load in WM waiting to hang up and more to go in. Got the tea out of the freezer yesterday - I'm so orgainised for a changeI also need to tackle to huge pile of toys that have appeared in the living room - they need to go back upstairs. Also got a Mystery Shopping phone job to do at lunch time.
Need to sort my new bins out - our council is eventually tackling the problem of recycling so we now have 3 wheelie bins - a garden rubbish one, a recyclables one (glass, plastic, tins) and a general rubbish one. Paper will still be collected in the usual sacks. It will save me hoarding bags in the garage until I've enough for a tip run as I recycle it all anyway - so now I just need to dispose of cardboard, batteries and textiles at the tip
Right, (((hugs))) to all in need and hopefully kiwi -I'll chat to you later hun.
Have a good day everyone

Morning all
Kiwi - Hope everything works out for you - I'm up your way tomorrow, I'll send lots of positive thoughts.
Cold and grey here this morning, blugh!
Only one little one this morning and my parents should be coming for lunch....they're taking DD's off to theirs for the weekend, 2 whole nights without kids!! whoohoooo....
Off to Lakeside shopping centre tomorrow and then meeting up with some friends in Essex for dinner, will stay with them so we can have a drink and not worry about driving.
Need to buy DH a new suit - have budgeted for it (how good am I???) so will not be shoving anything on a credit card!
Brekkie - Toast and Cereal
Lunch - Rolls - if I make them
Dinner - Chicken stir fry.
Have a great weekend all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
A word of warning!
If anyone has their WM in a garage or out house, make sure you heat it somehow. I have an oil-filled rad which sits between my WM and freezer and is on a frost setting. Unfortunately, I'd unplugged it Weds. evening so that I could use the socket for something else and forgot to plug it back in.
Cue me, at 9.30, in the garage, still dressed in PJ's and D.Gown, standing on an old chair and waving a hairdrier at various bits of underlagged pipes, just so I can wash me pinks and redsActually found the problem was the connection hose at the back of the WM, but it's currently dragging in ice crystals. Do ya think they'll make my jumper all soft and fluffy
:rotfl:
Off for my hot bath now, with another cuppa and a slice of HM toast - oh, and a 3yo!0 -
oooh yuck - TM that sounds like a wonderful way to make sure you are bright and awake this morning!
Hope the bath warmed you up
Kids are stripping beds - I've got a load to hang out and a load to go in, I try to get four loads done on Fridays so laundry will be all over the house. Doing an inventory ready to make up the month's meal plan and shopping list and got a bit of work to do as well.
Hoping to get some stuff sorted out to list on Ebay this weekend (first time so a bit nervous!) as dh has finally agreed we can sell some of the videos etc stacked in the wardrobe.0 -
TM you're not eating a 3 year old!! They get too tough beyond the age of 2!! And you'll wreck your diet.
