also, anyone know how Mrs. Math got on with job interviews?

She got round to the next round of interviews which sounded like it was a group event, I think its next week 7th March??? I'm sure Math's said he was away at his other house this week which I guess is why he isn't around. :)

Congrats on your results btw. :)

Oh and catowen I hope it went well today. ;)

Thought I'd start this thread at time - why am I up well i'm watiting for ds (16) to finish his shower and come for breakfast as he is off to Disneyland Paris this am.

He is the lead main vocal for the County Jazz Emsemble and they are going there for a festival. They get to perform 2 concerts Sat & Sun and travel home Sun ( arriving at a reasonable hr 9pm - better than the start!!!!)

He will be performing Mack the knife and possibly Angels ( both the Robbie version) in between the Park visiting ( as he says he doesn't have to rehearse he just opens his mouth and sings!!!!. They each have a free 2 day pass and this is his first visit so he's excited.

So please make note this is probable the one and only time you'll see me here at this time. Dh will be woken to make the 1/2 hr drive to the bus in about 1/2 hr and then I'll go back to bed til normal school waking time at 7am for dd.

    Bye for now

    Morning savingmum :hello:

Another early bird here too! No, I'm not just on my way to bed for those of you wondering :p ... but have been in bed since yesterday afternoon as I'm full of cold <sob sob> and it's proper woman flu, not man flu :p;)

Would probably still be in bed now if it hadn't been for DS thundering up and down the stairs at 3am  as I feel like death warmed up, but once I'm awake that's it, especially if I've already been asleep. Not sure I can cope living with an insomniac as I so cannot stand being woken up before I'm ready to :wall:  (mind you it gives me a bit of peace during the day when he's in bed asleep all day!)

No idea what I'm going to be doing today yet, depends how I feel I suppose, but I do need to get some washing done - could put WM on now I suppose and wake them up <evil grin> - although I need to get yesterday's stuff out if it first and hang it to dry :o

Oh before I forget, congratulations to the littlies passing their 11+ yesterday :T ... and also to brummiebabe for her exciting news :j :D

Kiwi, so sorry to hear of your housing problems hun, it sounds a complete nightmare and sure as hell not something I could cope with, especially when you've got the little ones to think of ((((((hugs)))))) :kisses3:

I'm wondering what the position would be if you threatened to pull out of buying the house unless they vacated the property as originally planned? After all, this is what your buyers have done to you isn't it? Surely it's now down to the vendors to make alternative arrangements to keep the chain flowing? Sorry if I've got it wrong as I'm not very clued up on buying and selling. When I bought my house we didn't have a chain as such as we were moving out of rented and the people we were buying off were moving into a new build, so everything went fairly smoothly. In fact from first viewing the property we'd completed and were moved in within 5 weeks! I've got everything crossed for you hun and hope and pray you get some good news very soon.

Right, off to make some more hot lemon and ginger and try to catch up on yesterday's posts ... there's hundreds!!! ... nice to see so many new faces on the board though and lots more ideas and tips to share around :D

Hope you all have a lovely day and (((hugs))) to anyone not feeling well or going through a tough patch :A

Well ds has left, clearing up done, washing up ready to do at 7am so....

off back to bed til then

1st brekkie had - rice krispies, OJ & tea to be followed by porridge later
lunch - wholemeal roll & quorn turkey
dinner - whatever - dd & friend will have shop bought pizza & oven chips

chores - start to pack up ds's room as we hopefully move to new house in 4 weeks ( easier to do when he is away but have promised I will not throw out any star wars , thunderbirds or lego - yes he is 16 1/2!!!!)

Lots of de cluttering this w/end plus walks on the beach as today is one of the lowest tides of the yr so we can walk around the coast ( Pembrokeshire so beautiful) on the beach - you can only do this a couple of times a yr

Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who are unwell today

    Morning All,

Been up for an hour as dh's snoring was so loud the bed was shaking  so I'm down in the kitchen with a hot coffee and a slice of raisin bread from Squeaky's recipe.

Big thanks Curry Queen. My night was spent tossing and turning about what we are going to do next week, we are supposed to find out for sure today whether we move to rented for 6 months and risk loosing our house or move to a hotel for a week or two and move to our house after that. Either way its going to be a costly exercise, both financially and emotionally.

We have said to the agent weare buying from that if the current owners wont move into rented then we wont complete for 6 months unless they pay out the landlord of wherever weare renting. And in the meantime we WILL look for another house. I do feel awful as its not their fault but people further up the chain so in essence we are being as mean to them as our buyers were to us. Just have to wait and see.

:grouphug: for you SCUZZ, you ought to get your leg checked out by a doctor, you sound like you're in a lot of pain. It cant be good if its making you feel ill.

Wont be getting on here much today as dh is working from home. Willpop back when I can.

    Hello everyone

Right just a quickie as I had typed a big long message then promptly lost the lot.

GettingItSorted...don't let your little one mope about, she is good enough and as you say she gave it her best shot. Onwards and upwards as they say...

Congrats to BrummieBabe...gosh, 3 kiddie winkies...

KiwiChick...you'll get it sorted, keep looking for opportunities etc. I hope you enjoyed your choc and wine last night.

Congrats to baby Queenie and baby Penny-Pincher....two little smartie pants!

Today is "another day another dollar" type day and I have the grand sum total of nowt to report. At least it is Friday, the one redeeming feature of having to work for a living (I do so wish I didn't have to, would go part-time if I thought I could afford it).

No idea what I am going to eat today, probably a sandwich at lunch. Maybe I should fish some cooked chicken out of the freezer and make a curry this evening...oh alright then you've talked me into it, that's exactly what I will do.

    Cheerio everyone

    Morning

Thank you all for the lovely supportive comments yesterday and today regarding DD and well done Mini Queenie:T

Good nights kip here last night:j

DW and WM on ATM. Clothes will be dried on airer as usual. Have cleaner here today, so need to strip the beds and thats it really. WM will be put on again later with one load of bedding and do the other 2 in the morning. DD's pack lunch of cheese sarnie, HM biccie, apple, banana, raisins, yogurt, crisps and squash.

OH undercoating skirting this morning as we have friends for dinner and would like it to have a little more finished look IYKWIM in the lounge and hallway. He's also doing a few other small jobs around the house (hoovering down the sofas etc)

Was going to list items on ebay today but dont really have the energy and have a hospital appointment later and dont want to knacker myself out for when friends come round later.

Have decided on HM Spagbol, with HM garlic bread, HM potatoe salad, HM coleslaw, fresh pepper salad and grated parmasan or cheddar. Pudding is Toffee pavlove, cheesecake. Have fresh coffee and choccies then cheese with biscuits later on. 12 months ago all this would have been bought and now its just the deserts and they cost £3 for the 2 of them. Im quite looking forward to it.

    Anyways, best go.

    Breakie:Toast and juice
    Lunch:Baked Spud
    Dinner: As above

    Will check in later.

    PP
    xx
