    Good morning everyone!!

Apple/Thriftlady - good luck with the points counting, foolproof way of losing weight tho, have a wisdom tooth out, ive lost 10lb in the last week, as i havnt been able to eat!!!! (ok, so it will all go straight back on when i do finally have a jaw that works, but felt good on the scales yesterday :j !!!)

Funky Fairy - so sorry you had such a bad day yesterday, but echoing everyone else, you have nothing to worry about, you are being a good mum, and its the nurserys fault for not having cover available, and the 2 who blanked you at the school should be ashamed of themselves!!!! Good luck with the letter, im sure you will do the right thing :grouphug:

Well, its raining here and very windy, which i hate, but never mind. I have 3 little ones here today, and we are making mothers day cards and maybe even attempt some mothers day baking so i have a lot to keep them happy today. DS and DD have a mufti day at school, just had to pursade DD that the lovely velvet purple party dress wasnt the look they were after at school, so shes up there now probably pulling all her clothes out the wardrobe!!!!
Have the WM on, and need to clean the bathroom, get the BM on with tonights pizza dough and after the mothers day cooking, i will prob have to clean the kitchen too

Hope all the poorly people are feeling better today, and hugs to everyone who needs one (and those who dont!!)
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all :grouphug:

Early start for me today as OH had to get the train to work this morning so the car could go in for it's MOT at 8.30 this morning. He dropped it off last night on his way home, and then he'll pick it up tomorrow morning as Kwik Fit won't be open by the time he gets home on the train  I tried to get him to take it somewhere else or at least take sometime/the day off but he wouldn't have it. He's told them they have a limit of £60 for repair costs if needed (I wouldn't have said that to them...I would have told them to ring me with the results of the MOT before carrying out any repairs  ) and anything more they have to ring him. I wouldn't mind so much if we hadn't spent £400+ getting work done on it in September when he bought it! I'm hoping that it will pass as we've never had a straight forward pass since we've had access to cars, which is going on for about 4 years now, and that includes the company car OH used to have!

Anyways, spent 3 hours last night doing the ironing, but didn't make much progress :o Mainly because I had ebay items to do which are VERY delicate, but all the "uniforms" are done and I've managed to get a pair of jeans and a short-sleeved top for me today done. Packed lunches were made last night as well. Just written DD's name in her coat/hat/gloves for school again as it had washed out again.

It's pouring down today ("that really fine stuff that soaks you through" to quote Peter Kay :rotfl: ) so no washing for me as I only have a huge heavy blanket and a set of curtains left to wash  I didn't get very far with the ebay listings yesterday (ran out of time before DD came home) so I'll finish them off when I've done the dispatch run to the post office and get them uploaded. There's still dishes that need washing as well :o and I need to run a hoover over the livingroom (did the bedrooms and bathroom last night ;) ) but I won't be mopping the floors today since it's raining.

DD is currently watching Milkshake while eating her breakfast as she's been up since 6.45am so she could say bye to OH as we'd have had tears this morning. :D Breakfast is done, Celebdaq done and I'm going to go make the beds in a minute then get DD ready for school.

I suppose at some point I should decide what we're having for tea, might have to go and buy some jacket spuds from the greengrocers as I really fancy a big jacket spud with bolognese for tea (OH asked for them the other night) and maybe I'll have one at lunch time with cheese and mayo on  I might even prepare tomorrow nights tea today, we'll be having toasties probably so I'll slice the cheese in advance and stash it so it doesn't get eaten, or I might save the bolognese and have it with pasta tomorrow night as that's fairly quick and easy

Oh well, the beds are shouting me to be made and DD will stay infront of the TV all morning if I don't chase her soon  Will check in again later

:hello: Morning pink fairy :D (been wondering about you!) Oooh, exciting news about the forthcoming move :j :j Yes, it's important to try and do everything you can to make sure the landlord doesn't have the least excuse for not refunding the deposit! (Double check the flooring too ;)

cat - Aww, I do so hope your gum is healing as it should :( Oh, and I'm taking one of those hugs you generously gave out to anyone who wants one  - I'm not in *need* of one, but it's nice to have one sometimes :D:D I think the purple party dress would have been *perfect* as mufti - shows she has style ;) Ok, ok, ok, not a 'practical' choice, but she's a girl (Madonna's cone bra wasn't 'practical' but it got her noticed, famous and rich  ) ;) Enjoy your day crafting, it sounds hectic, messy and heaps of FUN!! :D:D

    Hi everyone,

I have popped in once before but would like to try and stay around. It's the weight talk that has got me interested as I too weigh the same as thriftlady and would love to be my pre child weight. Would we be allowed an old style dieting thread?? Anyway I tend to be a rare species that loses weight on holiday as we do a lot of walking and I love to eat all the fresh fish that we don't get nearly as much of at home :A .

O.S wise I tidied the house from top too bottom yesterday so just a last minute dash into town to pick up bits and then packing and ironing to do. DH has been away on business all week and his flight should have landed by now so I can't wait to see him :j .

I have no idea what we will eat tonight it will be up to DH as he will have eaten hotel food all week.

Funky Fairy I am in Cambridge and have suffered PND with both of my two littlies, I still find it hard sometimes. I really wish you all the best and if you need a local chat then just p.m me.

nicki - if you can't find the proper label pens, you could buy a fabric paint pen (skinny nib) and write your DD's initials/name on the clothing *label* and it shouldn't wash off. Good luck with the car.

    Morning everyone :hello:

Haven't posted as much this week as I've been a bit off colour and also very busy. I've read most of the threads, although still yesterday's to finish. (((hugs))) to all in need :)

Managed to get an hour of crochet in yesterday evening. I took DS1 to a party and told Mr TM I wasn't taking DS2 along. So, I treated myself toa capucino and a natter with one of the other mum's and crocheted (much to her 10yo daughter's amusement - and I'm sure the mum, in whose cliche I don't really 'belong' :rotfl) That reminds me, all crochet book are due back at the library tomorrow - will ring up and renew them I think.

I need to do some general tidying today but would also like to deep clean my bedroom. Yesterday I gave the living room a quick vac and left a bit for DS2 to finish and when I went back in the room, he was diligently picking up everything off the floor and going behind the chairs and everything. I was only doing the middle where he'd dropped crumbs, but, bless him, he did a really good job:A Maybe I could let him loose on the bedroom...... :D

Got an ironing mountain again and a load of whites that have been soaking o/n in bio. I'll add some more to them and wash in non bio in a mo. Need to put BM on and have a think about tea. I feel a trip round the recipe index coming on.

Ok, DS2 is calling for grapes and then I'll get showered and get on. Will call back later.

    TM xxx

    Morning everyone.

I was up early again today, as i'm going out for the day with my sisters and nephews to Meadowhall (big shopping centre) to buy my nephews and my christenig outfits, plus some trousers for me for work so that i won't have to go to work semi naked next week.

I had a disturbed night with weird dreams about work. Class after class of kids messing around and not stopping when i was trying to tell them off. i'm like this every time i go back to work after the hols. In reality, it sounds like after plenty of dodgy supply teachers they can't wait to have me back.

Kids keep going into my mums shop and asking after me, and also my brother is in one of my y10 classes, and he says every day someone asks how i am and when i'll be back. The novelty factor might last one week. Apparently, i've had a really bad case of food poisoning, or so the rumour mill goes. I perhaps should have been going back skinnier, not 3 months pregnant then. Monday is a day full of meetings. Oh joy.

OS wise, i think i will have to hoover the kitchen yet again when i get back. We are having lunch out, so i will try to be healthy and have a jacket potato or something, although my sister suggested pizza, so i will see what the will power is like. ;)

Dinner tonight, probably pasta with a tuna/tinned toms/veg sauce for quickness. Last nights premade lasagna ended up being really dry, so i don't think i'll bother with that again.

    Have a nice day.

as you can tell I couldn't bare top pack the computer just yet :o

1st of all Hugs to everyone.

Thriftlady I am with you on the need to loose some weight front, I just can't get my head round eating properly at the momment, but I am hoping once the move is over and I am walking dd to scholl everyday 1/2 and hour away, while pushing a double buggy I should be able to loose some. Plus I have the garden to keep me busy :j At the moment school is only a 2 min walk, so don't do much for the weight front.

Not much to do today, pretty tidy for me :o
But there is a little washing up to do and the lounge will probably need hovering before the end of the day.
I have finally caught up with the washing, so no load to go on today, unless dp has hid stuff under the bed again :wall: will he ever learn to put his stuff in the washing basket, even my two year old puts her dirty clothes in the basket.
No news on sean so taking it that no news is good news. I am so worried about greta (grandma) and what she will do if the chemo fails, we are hoping she will come and live down here, but we will get to that if the time comes.
Right baby has started to whinge so better be off.
Will try and pop back later
