Hello everyone
What a knackering week I've been having...getting up a bit earlier to let the painter in, running off to the garage with my car, two evenings at college and meetings, meetings and more meetings at work. I am so tired I think I could sleep for a week. Actually I felt like this last night when I went to college but when I got home found that I was lively again.
The house looks fab now that the painter has finished and gone. I'm really, really pleased with it. He was careful with the paint and I have two big pots to return to B&Q - it's about £40 worth. I spent most of Tuesday worrying that I had left a certain item of underwear on the bathroom floor after my shower in the morning. I am silly, but I was quite anxious about it. Luckily when I got home I discovered I was worrying over nothing. Unless of course, as a colleague suggested, he picked my used drawers up on my behalf and put them in the washing basket..._pale__pale_.
Tomorrow my little car goes back to the garage to get it's bad rattle sorted out. Don't know what the final bill is going to be, I just know I am not going to be happy.
That's it in the land of SnowyOwl.
See you all tomorrow - when it will be Friday woo hoo!!

Only just got on here, had a very busy day. Managed to buy everything on my shopping list without going into a supermarket, feeling very pleased. Just need to keep an eye on the budget.
FF - (((hugs))) It is so difficult juggling work and home, I don't work now, but if I did think I'd be off every other week, I've got 4 and when one gets something the others quickly follow. It is not your fault the pre-school didn't open, I use to manage a Nursery and we never had to close because staff were off, and many of the staff had young children and had to be off from time to time. The pre-school should have a list of supply staff.
Please don't blame yourself.
PP - (((hugs))) hope you are feeling better. It must have been very frightening.
Math - the view from your window is lovely, you are very lucky.
Must go DS2 is out to tea and will be coming home soon.
Enjoy the evening.MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

FF-I totally agree with MATH. Finding suitable cover whilst employees are ill is the sole responsibility of the manager/s. If they have to close down their business, then thats down to imcompetent management and suitable cover should be available-this is not your problem!! Try not too worry about it hun. Your fellow workers are just being petty and ignorant, let them get on with it and just put a big smile on your face and hold your head up;)
Afternoon has been abit of a daze really:rolleyes: We've had a few people coming and going and I have been trying to doze on the sofa but without much luck. House is pretty tidy though and cleaner is here tomorrow to clean, so cant moan.
Dinner was left over chilli and baked spuds. 2 loads of washing done and the bedding will need doing tomorrow, so hopefully it will be a nice day again and get them on the line to dry. OH has done some clearing of the side of the house.
Anyways, best go.

Thank you all so much you have all spoken sence.
I know that i should not let it bother me but because of my PND it does and it makes me hit rock bottom.
I know what i have to do i will be writing a letter tonight and putting it in the letter box at work so that they get it tomorrow.
I am only covering maternity as a favor anyway. Nobody else wanted the job they had been avertising for 3 months.
I will also be taking my son out of the pre-school incase they take out what they are feeling towards me on him( unlikly but you never know)
If i did not work in the place i would have taken DS out b4 now anyway i have a whole set of issues with the way it is run.
After i pay for DS to attend i end up with very little wages so i will not be that much out of pocket and DS and i can spend some lovely time together visiting local national trust properties.
Thank you all once again

(((Funkyfairy))) You'll feel a lot better now you've made the decision. It must be very stressful for you at the moment. You'll have a lot of fun with DS. My youngest DD had to finish playgroup early because the building burnt down ... and you know, we had so much fun together before she went to school
She's 18 now and sorting me out some diet sheets
Thriftlady, what a coincidence, the apple_mint household have decided tonight to count points again (me, OH and DD). We can't afford to go back (and I am so mad that I lost 3 stone and put 2 back on again) and so are using collective support to help each other (I have more weight to loose than the other two put together). DD is writing up weighing sheets and daily points record charts to put onto the fridge door and I've got all the recipe books I bought from WW (and didn't use very much!). Last time I lost weight by buying the WW products, this time - no way! I'm going to keep on cooking from scratch but following the recipes.

HI Everyone,
Sorry to those who have not had a very good day. I've had a mixed up day today. On the negative side, I got my payslip today and for the second time in two months have not got my bonus (due to one of my bone head managers!). Have rung my boss to explain the situation, and she is not happy with the person concerned either. Will see if I get any better news tomorrow.
On the plus side, I used my bread maker for the first time and made a really nice french style loaf. Best £10 I ever spent. My son has been ill so I've not taken him to playgroup today. Think he might have a chest infection, so may be down the doctors tomorrow.
Have a good evening all...POwieA woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0 -

apple and Thriftlady - are you either of you aware of Boot Camp Buddies ?? They are a WW support group forum (last time I heard it was free - but you can still view it even if you don't join) It's a very comprehensive forum and heaps of recipes which are great even if you're not WW-ing LOL Might be worth a peek if you haven't come across it before.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
