Bishops in Bradbury place.... £2.75 for gravy chip, more than a fiver for fish supper. We don't have chippie food half as often because it is pretty much as expensive as chinese or indian.
Captain Cod's is a good shop - they used to do early bird deals which were superb value.Always overestimating...0 -
C.Cods still do a lunchtime Chicken Goujons and Chips for £3 I think it is, also a Pastie special as well and you get 2 pasties.0

Captain Cod charge £3.50 for the lunchtime special (fish & chips or chicken goujons & chips). An absolute bargain for the amount of food you get ... and you don't feel like you've just been chewing on a block of lard like you do after you've been to the Golden Chip.
Service with a smile too .... and don't forget to look out for granny wandering about with her cup of tea!!!
I just wish it wasn't so tempting ......Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
Ewww Friar Tuck's. They started up in Newry - and still have a number of branches around here. I can't understand why anyone would go to them twice. The one and only time I got something from them was five years ago - a cold and congealed blob of potato sold as chips. Boke!
One on Bloomfield road Belfast is an independent and has no relation to the chain0 -
It may have been a better idea to name those chip shops who supply good fish 'n chips. we don't really want to know the names of the bad ones, only the names of where to go to.
also wondering what the answer to the initial question posed by Dave is. Are we dearer than mainland UK?0 -
£1.10 for chips here in the North East of England. Huge bag too. I think you're robbed there.0

I'm reading this thinking how strange it is to say A chip:rotfl:
