I have already shown you exactly what happens next, you know which letters are coming by now surely? IMHO you should be at the stage of laughing at the letters or playing snap as they arrive as predicted and they match our pictures.
See the violetmount link in post #166 above.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I hear that a complaint has been made against GW to New Scotland Yard Hi-Tech Crime Unit by a client the other day, to which is under current pending investigation following a number of the clients letters demanding payment were sent to him and an 'alleged' home visit was made on his property; looks like the net is closing......0

it is about time that the illegal activities of these debt collectors was investigated. We have heard of numerous examples of this scum posing as bailiffs. This will scare the wits out of the vulnerable. Hopefully plod will wake up and realise that harassment and extortion is a criminal offence and not a civil matter.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Sassy you sure thats right G W and Hi Tech dont seem to gell together to well!!!:D0 -
Still no "final warning" letter, this is now many months later
I'm moving house next month as well, so that'll be the end of my fun with them, as I don't think I'll be sending GW a change of address card
The modified new letters threatening "field inspectors" are interesting. It's noticeable how they don't use the word "bailiff"- would I be right in thinking that it's a criminal offence to pass yourself off as one?0 -

I don't know about that. I know some debt-collectors do give themselves the meaningless title of "private bailiff".What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Are these guys really scam artists then? I have appealed a fine received by ACPOA and before I know it I had a letter from Roxburghe stating I now owe £127.
Happy to ignore but would be nice to know 100% that I am not going to get myself into a pickle.
This was at a FGW station who I presume must have let a contract to ACPOA. Has anyone ever canvassed FGW for their views?0 -

All Parking Charge Notices are scams IMHO, and APCOA don't do Court, they just do threatograms like almost every other private parking company (PPC).
We are not saying that the rail company hasn't allowed APCOA to work there, nor are we saying that APCOA are not a real company. They have and they are. Just like supermarkets who let Euro Car Parks 'patrol' their sites, they are real too and acting with permission. But it means nowt.
But none of these Parking Charge notices are enforceable against the registered keeper, which is the person they will write to. They 'could' (but won't) try to allege a contract with the driver but who's to say who was driving that day if you don't tell them (and there is no reason for you to give them that info). I say they won't do this because we know their standard letter-chain and it's at the top of the forum for you to see, pics of every letter on the top thread.
The only thing to check is whether the fake PCN actually says that if you do not pay then any appeal would have to go to Magistrates Court. If it says that, then take it more seriously, there are the odd one or two real Magistrates Court PCNs issued at stations but it's very, very rare.
But I bet it says if you want to appeal write to APCOA at a PO Box...DON'T BOTHER!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
