Last week I posted that I had my property approved but I still haven't had written confirmation of this!

My vendor is completely getting cold feet, I am a bit scared that I might lose him and he might put his house back on the market.

Bit surprised that I got a yes a week ago and have heard nothing!

I got affordability info from IFA. That is the problem TVHA dont give any info!!!

Hi, I sent my paperwork for approval in through Orbit First Step. They took about a month to send me a letter on the 6th Feb saying that they could confirm my eligibility for the scheme and would pass it over to Key Homes East.

I have heard nothing from key homes east and have called them a couple of times and all they say is that they are behind, latest today was 1 month behind. They wont tell me whether they have even received my paperwork so i dont even know when they received it from orbit but i shouldnt imagine it was too long after the 6th February.

I put an offer in on a house last week which was accepted, YAY, but only because I had received the letter from Orbit which my MA told me was acceptance. I am starting to worry that its all going to fall flat and I'll be left as a newlywed in August homeless

I thought this scheme was meant to help us get on the housing ladder?? All its doing for me is causing stress and upset all for £5000!

That is so terrible, cannot imagine your distress cannot believe they can do that in the middle of an application...

Lets stay positive about KHE.

Spoke to someone yasterday and they said that they were beginning to work on applications from the 11th March.....also they have stopped all new applications, to concentrate on the backlog. Good news for people like us, who have their applications in the backlog!

Hopefully not too long now.

Might go mad before then though ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........

I'm glad I came across this page...don't feel so alone now! I found a place, made an offer and had my FA send all the right stuff in. KHE said they got it on the 11th March but I have been chasing them to no avail. I think they have been working on applications from the 11th for over a week! I haven't heard anything from the estate agent so hopefully everything is ok with the property.

I did ask someone at KHE about the funding and what would happen if the vendor changed their mind or went elsewhere and they said that any funding is allocated to me as opposed to the property so I'm thinking that maybe that funding can be used on another property (if need be)?

It is all pretty long and frustrating!

Hi all, just a quick update, my wife and i are in the same situation that a lot of you are, we put forward our property on the 3rd of march and are still waiting.
Every time i phone KHE they seem to fob me off, i called today and KHE said that the lady that allocates funding is on annual leave and that i should call back at the end of next week, so it looks like we will all have to wait a little longer.

I was where you were last week Gareth i have full sympathy!

On Thursday we had confirmation of our funds yippeeeeee. No letter till next week though but at least we have an answer!!!

My fantastic FA Matt Hays can stop being harassed by me now.....

Hi, we are in the same boat mate!!! My partner and I were told we were elegible for £179k last month by our FA. We finally found a place which we would like to place an offer on of £172K. Found out from the FA today that we are no longer elegible for £179k and can now only get £152k!!!! So no chance of us getting the place we wanted to Gutted!!!

What do u do when even the government can't help you!!

Hi , just signing up to this tread, I to have applied to keyhomes east just this week, the news i was told from Keyhomes is that the waiting time for approvals is 3-4 weeks from application received.

Did you guys send in your AIP along with your application ?
