We sent the forms in the morning of the 10th March....
  • Hi all,

Just a quick update on my situation. Our FA received an email from a Key Homes East administrator today; they wanted an e-copy of our wage slips and a few other docs - I'm hoping this means that they have started working on our application...I don't dare get excited yet though - in fact I don't think I'm going to be excited until those door keys are in my hands! :-)

Oooh I got an e-mail from my FA today, saying that my property had been approved and that my funding was approved.

He didn't ask for any other paperwork though and said my letter might take a few days.

I can't remember how much info I sent them when I first applied back at the end of the summer last year.

I have all the other info ready to go but my FA is completely new to me and even he hasn't seen my wage slips etc.

I hope that he hasn't jumped the gun a little.

Was really happy earlier, now a little worried boo hoo.

Hope you all hear something really soon though.

    I will keep you posted.

    CONGRATULATIONS AND JUBLIATIONS!!!!

How exciting for you, your misery has ended, do not worry about the paperwork thing. Ours, i think, was because since applying last year, certain things had changed with our income.

  • Congratulations from me too - that's great news! (and I wouldn't worry about the paperwork thing either...I think they just wanted up to date info for us because our orignal wage slips were from the middle of last year).

We haven't heard anything more other than that they would not accept a copy of our wage slips by email on Friday and so we had to send a copy by post on Friday afternoon instead. We've been told by our KHE rep and our FA that we should go ahead and get the ball rolling with regards to solicitors etc, so I'm hoping that the house/funding approval will be finalised this week.

All this waiting is driving me crazy :-)

Very Bad news. The funds are now available but TVHA have changed the affordability criteria. We can only get mortgage 3 times of joint salary. That means I can’t even think of getting 3 bed house in Surrey…

Initially it used to be 4 times of salary.
Any one else got this info from their FA?
    Is this same for Keyhomes?
  • I haven't heard anything either; I tried contacting them, but getting info out of them is like trying to get blood from a stone!

Thanks for the info about the affordability criteria - that's awful that they changed their mind half way through the process - I feel awful for you (they're really playing with people's lives and emotions here!). I just hope that Key Homes East don't do the same as Thames Valley...I'm not holding out any hope though!! :-(
  • Sorry - just re-read your post HomeBuy3780; I'm not sure what the affordability criteria is for us/Key Homes East, I think it may be x3.5, but am not entirely sure. We can only get a mortgage for around 2.5x our joint salary (after they take into account existing loans).
