I've used their service no problems at all. I as prepared to take a little less for the phone than hassle selling it on ebay.
  • Just traded my iPhone 4 ready to play with my iPhone 4s!!!! Got the money they quoted and it was really easy - you get emailed all the time to say where your money/phone is. :T

    Dodgy

First time I've used Envirofone and I'm not impressed. Upon despatching my phone to them, it was in perfect working order. When Envirofone received it they e-mailed me and said that the camera lens was broken and offered me £30 less. The camera was WAS NOT broken when I sent it. Either it became broken in transit or in their offices. If it was broken in transit then they should have provided something with more padding than they did (the bag seemed a bit fragile). I replied, mentioning pretty much what I have here and they're returning the phone to me.
The other companies I've used have been fine. I won't be using Envirofone again. Strikes me that it's very easy to claim a fault and pay less. I don't trust them.
  • I've just had a similar experience the The Owl. Envirofone emailed me today offering £30 less than quoted for a tiny crack in the case. I knew the crack was there and checked their T&C's for mention of this being a problem (there wasn't). I will be posting to Asda who count small cracks as fair wear and tear. Fingers crossed this time.

My daughter got quoted £246 for her iphone 4, so she sent it off and received an email saying the sim gate was missing so they would only offer her £135. Fortunately she rejected their offer and told them to send the phone back. when it arrived, surprise, surprise the sim gate WAS in the phone. Think they are cashing in on the present economic climate and are taking advantage of people needing the money. I phoned to complain to be told that if she'd requested a further test on the phone they might have realised the sim gate was there ...... like you are going to do that!
  • Sent my old Blackberry to Envirofone last week and have just received an email with a revised offer of nearly half the amount because they are saying the battery is missing??? I know the battery was in the phone when I sent it as I wiped the memory just before sending.

I have emailed them to say I want my phone back WITH its battery but not holding my breath. Looks like I will receive my phone without a battery but how do I prove it was in there when I sent it??

    Not happy

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Mortgage-free Glee!
Sent a HTC Desire in pristine condition (had for 1 year always in a protective case, and a screen cover, and even sent it in its original box), and they said that it was cracked and chipped, which is utter rubbish, and tried offering 1/3 of original valuation.

I declined their ridiculous offer and had the phone returned. I will give another recycler a go, and could not recommend this bunch at all.
  • sold 3 phones and always got what was quoted
  • Sold my old iPhone 4S using Envirofone - very good service. Sent a Special Delivery bag for it to be posted in (via a Post Office) and the money was credited to my bank account a week after delivery (even over Christmas).
  • Logged in on Wednesday to register my phones and get a returns pack which I received next day on Thursday. Followed the instructions and took my jiffy bag to the post office and paid 95p to send it recorded delivery. Received email Friday morning acknowledging receipt of my phones (which I sent factory reset and fully charged) and an email Friday evening to say my phones had passed testing and the money would be in my account by Wednesday as I had opted for payment by BACS. Today is Wednesday, a week later, and the money is in my account. How good is that?
