I thought the only 'summer' holiday dates were normally the weekend beginning the school summer hols,- which this year falls on 19th july so fri-mon.
I have booked this date before for europe. I have also booked the august bank holiday for a uk park in the past.
As far as i'm aware, and i may well be wrong, or something has changed, these are the only 'peak' school summer holiday dates that are bookable. Perhaps somebody knows differently??

Quick word or warning, if going to Europe by car, I've compared the cost of the ferry deal with the Sun to just booking straight, and it's slightly cheaper to do the latter for me....and that's getting the time slot I prefer as well.

Not saying it will be the same for everyone but worth checking ferry comparison sites before you just tick the box for the ferry offer.

Yes always worth checking! We got our ferry crossing Dover to Calais for slightly less than the sun offer with a special offer deal. Got good morning/afternoon crossings as well.
With Brittany ferries however, you will always make a saving booking through the sun!
