do you have a priority code to book online or are you doing a postal method ?
  • i've never done sun before, and therefore don't have a code. I have no chance of getting any holiday for my family without the offer, but as i said, i didn't know until day five as i don't get newspapers.

if you can go in term time you may get something :)

worth getting all 10 tokens, and sending them off and see if you get anything

the more parks and dates you can put down the better your chances

    good luck :)
  • can anyone understand the dates for the 7 night euro holidays?

i found this but not entirely sure what they mean!? anyone know?

I want to go on a 7 night break, what day do they start on?
To book a 7 night break you can either start on a Monday or a Friday and as long as your chosen start date has a consecutive date following it you can apply for the 7 night break.

It means you can book a 7 night holiday if the entire holiday fits into the advertised dates. i.e. The July holidays run 1st, 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th & 19th. You cannot book a 7 day holiday beginning on July 19th as this would run to July 26th which is not an included date. You would need to book July 12th which would run to the included end date of July 19th.

The site opened on Saturday so I would imagine everything that was in school holidays would have been snapped up very quickly.

I found myself here after finding out that the £9.50 holiday to Butlins Minehead is not so good afterall, I booked with the Sun tokens at £9.50 for 4 persons 2 adults 2 children and i included dining plan, I also paid extra £9.50 for breakdown cover "just in case" for a total of £49.40.

I got the Butlins confirmation email earlier and to my surprise the outstanding balance is £265.80

I went to the Butlins website and logged in with a new username and password and went through the booking with the same details [persons/ages/dates etc] and could have had it for £260.40, So if i had not gone through sun tokens i would have saved almost £60.

I promptly phoned butlins and had the dining plan removed or it was cough up or lose the £49.40, Removing the dining plan saved me £186.

I know in future to not bother with the £9.50 offer and just book direct with butlins.

So warning to others if you planning using the tokens for Butlins Minehead.

    Regards

I paid for breakdown cover and we did actually breakdown, I called Butlins and they stopped the breakdown cover 2yrs previous, So be warned do not select the breakdown option when booking.
