Good on you, I'm claiming over £6000,00 . and have used moneyclaim . I have had numerious letters from the nat west saying the oft's rules do not apply to them. i'm hopeful.

the oft rules regarding the £12 fees do apply to them, but that is not the basis of your claim. even if they did only charge £12 we would still be claiming the charges back, as they would still constitute a penalty.

Hi shaun, sorry for not being so specific about my question, I was just wondering whether the attachment you sent me the other day regarding the filling in of the document for the list of charges was as easy as it appears, do you just enter the amount of each item and it adds it up for you and what about the interest charge.

    many thanks again.

    Paul

hi, the spreadsheet that you will find on the site will add up the charges and add the interest on.
all you do is enter the date and amount of the charge and it does the rest for you.

    Hi

I completed a claim against Halifax via moneyclaim last night, but I noticed there was nowhere to attach the schedule of charges + interest calculation - do I have to send this seperately to the courts? How will they know if my claim is the right amount? It was for £796 in charges plus about £62 in interest.

    Thanks

hi, wait until and if they put in their defence now and then send them off to the solicitor and the court (which will be your local county court by then)
  • Hi Shaun,
You're a good person wotever the banks might say! Many thanks for your response on cash handling; now ready to hit 4 ccs.
May I follow up with interest rates. I know we can't reclaim as things currently stand but do you, or your colleagues, know when b****y high rates become usurous. I had heard that the latter is unlawful and wonder whether our illustrious financial institutions had overstepped the mark - prayer mat out!

  • Ive posted on here quite a few times with my claim against LloydsTSB so i may as well update. yesterday day i received the full amount into my bank account i went for which is just short of 3K. My account was with collections and frozen so i phoned the collection dept. to ask if it could be unfrozen which it already was. Now for anyone who is the same position as I was with a dire credit rating and a payment plan the lady i spoke to assured me they would not be closing my account due to the refund of charges and she offered my full credit facilities back, cheque book, debit card and overdraft which i have to say i definitely accepted, with the exception of the overdraft, whilst practically speechless. I have to say that yesterday the lady i spoke to restored my faith in LloydsTSB. I have banked with them for 30 years, when it was nicked named Noddy's Toy Town bank when it was just TSB, so whether that has something to do with me being given everything bank I don't know but anyone else in my position i wish you the best of luck and those who are still shall I shan't I, get that first letter off and do it Dave Smith didn't set a web site that has so many hits daily for a joke, he means Business.:)

hi kennyh, the interest rates are not something that can be challenged, as they are for a service and you have the choice whether to use that service or not. not really sure when they become to high. as i have seen legitimate reates of 65%. i do know however that there are rumblings of interest rates being questioned by the oft.

good luck withh the cc's if you need help log in at the site

i have just recieved a cheque for over 2k from natwest business account. they said they would win and see me in court :rotfl:
