I've used beefburgers to make a very inauthentic version of the Turkish dish iskender kebab - sliced meat (or grilled beefburgers cut into slices ;)) in a herby tomato sauce, topped with plain yoghurt and served with pitta bread.

I'll have to buy or make some beefburgers now so I can have it again, now you've reminded me. :)
Back after a very long break!

sound gorgeous but perhaps not too good for your ticker .I like the sound of putting them in a pitta bread I have a couple in the freezer that I bought reduced from M&S (was such a silly price '90p' that I was tempted, and M&S's stuff is good ) only trouble is I'm not that keen on beefburgers,:o but these are herby ones so I may try one for dinner one night next week as they are really quite weighty, quarter pounders I think. That'll teach me to think about what i am buying in future instead of just buying it if its reduced ;)

    Hi,

I know you said that you didn't fancy buurger and chips but what about a more fancy version. OH has bacon and cheese with his burger in a bun. I have blue cheese with mine.

Or you could add lettuce and tomatoes.

I have x10 beef burgers in the freezer and I want an idea of how I can use them without doing the obvious hamburgers n chips, anyone know of anything? Got 4 days before I need to use them as its down for Wednesdays meal on the menu.:)
I'm not keen on beef burgers. Are they posh ones, or home brands ones?. If posh i'd cook them, and have one each, how about in a nice brown bun and tomato sauce. Or if home brand ones, i;d not bother eating them at all, as they will be horrible grisly things in my experience, its why i dont like beef burgers anymore!.

that sounds lovely I'll have to give that a try - think I'll get some tortillas instead of pitta though as my boys seem to prefer them :)

I bought some premium Birdseye burgers the other day and they were still vile! (I think they add fillers) I normally make my own patties with lean mince beef.....

The cat ate one though, I was very surprised!! (perhaps they taste like kitty-kat!!)
