What do with burgers?

Hi blueelephanttrunk,
I would keep them as burgers but then I have a house full of teens/young adults who are more than happy to devour them.Otherwise, what about reshaping them into meatballs? Or using them to make a meatloaf.
These threads may give you more ideas:
What do with burgers?
burgers.....what can i do with 'em?
Left over burgers and sausages(uncooked but been frozen) ideas?
Once you've had more replies I'll merge your thread with the first two links to keep the suggestions together.

I just cooked the pasta as you normally would separately. Fry the onions and mushrooms in a pan with some oil or butter until they're soft/browned. Break the burgers and sausages up into bits and nuke in the microwave (to make sure they're definitely cooked through) then add them to the onions & mushrooms in the pan. Add a carton of single cream and stir and simmer until it absorbs the yummy meat taste and gets a bit thicker like a sauce. Then add pasta and mix all in. Or keep pasta separate and sit saucy burgery sausagy mix on top to serve.Sarah.

Can you think of any recipes or anything different I can do with them other than burgers? I also have a random avacado, I'm not sure who brought it! A funny thing to bring along really I thought....
- You could make some gravy, reheat them in the gravy (slowly so they heat through) serve with mash/veg.
- You could chop them up and add them as the meat content of a homemade pizza.
- You can make cold kebabs with them (chop, thread on a skewer with cherry tomatoes, cubes of pepper, onion) serve with a salsa and garlic mayonaisse and a green salad.
- Dice add to a curry sauce and have burger curry with rice.
- Dice, add to cooked pasta mixed with mayo, add some diced cucumber, diced tomato, chopped onion - burger pasta salad.
- stick them on pulse in a food processor and make a cottage pie
- stick on pulse in the food processor and use to make a bolognaise sauce.
If you stop thinking of them as 'burgers' and think of them as a source of cold cooked meat, you can adapt many recipes to create something different (and, perhaps, original!).0 -
Ah good point, are they cooked or raw!? :rotfl:
Although the same principle in my previous post would still count0 -
Wow, what fabulous ideas!
They are uncooked so I could whizz up and use as mince - I never thought of that! We've got a breadmaker too, and I have mozzerella (another random thing that got brought although slightly more useful than an avacado) so I could make a burger pizza. Sounds lovely! I'll have to go extra hard at the gym then lol.0 -
How about burger hash? We had sausage and burger hash for dinner last night using up some BBq leftovers0

Ah, i was assuming they were cooked already. So my recipe is for cooked ones.Sarah.

Defrost them & turn them into meatballs before cooking. Or use them inside puff pastry with some veggies.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0

depending on what's in the burgers (usually mince, onion, egg?) you could defrost them and turn them into a meatloaf, or chilli or bolognaise. Maybe serve with tacos and an assortment of salad and cheese.
Having said that, I love burger and chips occasionally, maybe topped with cheese or onion or bacon or chillies. You could make home made wedges and salad to go with it0
