Ive just had the £430 valuation go from my account !!!!!! :o

I have not had a call or anything about a valuation visit , but the A+L rep did say last week , the valuation officer will only call you IF he wants to come inside your property !!!!

Has anyone else had this , the valuation fee go out of your account , and not hear anything as such

I also had the declaration form today, DD mandate to sign and return along with 1 months wage slip !!
  • A & L only told me when the survey was going to happen as I rang them up to ask about something else. And the vendor mentioned that they'd been round, and apparently had gone inside the property! But I don't think they'll tell you otherwise - give them a call?

I'm a bit confused here...we were accepted for a remortgage on the 3.99%/ no fee deal with A&L and were told the offer was for 28 days.
Is this not the case now? Bummer if I've missed it as I haven't returned the signed documents!

(Also we asked twice for the email of the documents and they still haven't arrived - these came in the post)

Just had a phone call from A&L to say we've been excepted for the 3.99% fixed! The paper work only went in yesterday so once again really fast service.

Interestingly enough I've been reading on this thread about the insurance offer and the £25 admin fee. I went through a branch for this offer and insurance wasn't mentioned once. All I have had to pay is £340 for a valuation which will be refunded and £175 legal, once again which will be refunded.

Phew! Just got in from work and can see it does say 28 days for the offer.
Perhaps as mine is only a remortgage (currently on another fixed rate with A&L @6.39! but breaking free as it will still save us in the long run even after the penalty fees )
But - I'll definately get my rear into gear and send it off!

No, I asked about the valuation and she said they might call but in her experience they mostly just do a drive by. Wish I got paid £340 for driving past someones house!
