My sons old DS (not lite) broke a while back, we decided to put it on ebay as they seemed to be getting a bit and every little helped towards the new one. He got £36! not bad considering it didn't work. I guess there are some clever bods out in Ebay land that can fix anything.

Hope you find a way to get one.

You do realise people buy broken d.s's on ebay for spares for good prices dont you?Along with many other broken things...it doesnt matter what has happened to it you will make some money!

Yes there quite easy to repair actually if you are in the know and parts are available very cheaply nowadays, for example you can get the digitizer (bit that makes the screen a touch screen) for $2.59 delivered! Check out this clicky.

I can't help you out with a Nintendo DS I'm afraid, but i do have an old sony Playstation 1 Console you can have if you'd be willing to pay P&P. It's in full working order with a controller.
No games, but i know you can pick them up cheaply at boot fairs or auction sites.

my little brother [well hes 14] LIVES on his xbox 360 and i know he should be out playing but kids will be kids, anyway it broke recently and he was distruaght, all his friends are on xbox live every night so he felt so left out , my mum couldnt afford to buy him one so i used my student loan [ i no i no i shouldnt do that but hey ] its just so nice to see people like proudmum trying to help a good deed goes a long way

nds-cards.co.uk offer a repair service, you can call the guy and he can quote you on the repair, cases and hinges are common, screens can be replaced easily enough too.
