I don't know if you have a catalogue account (littlewoods, great universal, additions etc) but they do have buy now pay next year codes which can be found on here in the discounts section, it wouldn't make the DS free but you wouldn't have to start paying until next year (feb 2010) so it would be free for 11 months. Or Additions direct offer flexible accounts anyway with minimum payments of around £6 a month for something like the price of a DS (and £30 off £60 on first orders apparently). Just thought it was worth mentioning, I bought my DS off additions and their service has always been very good.
Good luck with your search

i have dealt with nintendo cs 3 times for different broken ds,just tell them you have had it less than 12 month, postage is free and quick.worth a try just call them.Im known as the 'Fixer' if you have a problem, come to me and i can fix it for you.0

It could be covered on your household insurance - depends on how it was broken and what cover you have.
Also think about whether you took out additional cover instore - such as the type argos, currys etc.. sell for a few pounds extra. As you could be covered under that.
If your son was using it away from home and you have personal insurance it could cover it under that also. Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!0 -
Hi, I think someone mentioned this before but I just wanted to confirm that you could get a free DS through the carphone warehouse if they still have the offer on. That's how I got my free DS, I took out a £35 a month contract with them.0

I just wanted to say that I think it is really bad that a 6 year old is so dependant on a games console that he is really upset over it breaking. Children of that age should be running and playing outside.
Just my opinion, but maybe it is a good thing it broke0 -
Its not really free though i think you should check before entering a contract just for a free ds,for the £35 a month you could prob get a second hand one for less than a couple of payments.i really would phne nintendo cs and tell them youve had it less than 12 month.Im known as the 'Fixer' if you have a problem, come to me and i can fix it for you.0

of course everyone has their opinion, but in this case I think it is a case of keeping it to yourself !
My son is in no way what-so-ever "dependant" on his DS. He is just upset that it is broken because he goes on it every now and again and it is not working. Do you have kids? Cos if you did, you would probably understand.
And my kids do play outside and run round, thank you very much ! Keep your opinions to yourself, and do not judge others on what you "think" to be the case !0 -

There was really no need for that now was there, how extremely rude. Like dansmum says, your opinion is best kept to yourself in this instance.0 -

If you look at the link I posted, it was for cases for the original Phat styled DS;) You'll have to wait a wee bit longer than buying from this country but they're cheaper and the postage is also free.Bankrupt 28/07/08!0
