DONT BE AFFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP0 -
A mug of warm milk should help induce some sleepiness.
I hate to suggest this, and please forgive me if I induce an attack of the vapours, but perhaps looking at MSE is actually stimulating your mind and so you don't start winding down until after you've logged off. There is a lot going on in each board, lots of things to remember, things you want to think about...and not a word of it boring...so possibly the opposite of relaxing if you are catching up on lots of posts.
Maybe when you're having your cup of warmed milk you could read something easy going and non-challenging, and have the room softly lit, warm and quiet. Your computer - when I think of it - is probably emitting quite a lot of light, so perhaps dim the screen a tad.
The lavender tip is good too, you could also try a lavendar wheat bag. If you happen to get hold of a wheat bag you can put some drops of lavendar oil on it, then heat in a microwave and use as a hot water bottle.0 -
snowy,
There is probably a lot of truth in what you say......I feel an attack of the vapours coming on!

I'd second the thoughts about the computer!
I know this is why i'm still sitting here, even though I was really tired an hour ago, i just can't resist looking in to see what's happening. Now I'm wide awake:eek: . I do it nearly every night and before I know it, i'm reading posts, clinking through links etc. Then my mind is whizzing and I don't sleep until at least 2am:rotfl:
I KNOW i should turn of the PC. but i might miss something:eek:
I blame you lot you know, you're all bad for my health:D :rotfl:0 -
I am the same - I can go all night with no sleep even if I feel shattered. I have to admit I have found the best cure is to watch football! I fall asleep within minutes!:rolleyes:I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

I put a period film on - such as Mansfield Park - I'm off in minutes ....An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T

I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -
I think Snowy could well be right, and is probably the reason I end up on here so late most nights
I can feel dog-tired during the evening but like to have an hour or so to myself "relaxing" on here after the kids have gone to bed, but I find myself wandering off at tangents depending what I've read ... e.g. someone earlier mentioned a slow-cooker book I knew I had but couldn't see on my shelf, so went off upstairs and spent almost an hour searching through various boxes for it, found it, then spent another half hour or so reading the recipes again LOL!
And now I'm back here again instead of in bed!!! :wall:
Insomniacs R Us:rotfl:
PS ... can anyone tell me what it was I came back on here to look for before I got distracted by this thread please?"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
~
It is that what you do, good or bad,
will come back to you three times as strong!
