thanks thriftlady. I will definitely try that. My daughters don't like tinned fruit but love fresh apple crumble so I'm hoping this recipe might tempt them too0 -

black-saturn wrote:Fruit Cobbler Recipe
In an oven proof dish add in 1 mug of self raising flour, 1 mug of granulated sugar and 1 mug of milk. Mix it all up so it's thoroughly mixed together and then add 1 tin of value tinned fruit of your choice on top. Bake in the oven on gas mark 4 until golden. The flour mix will rise up above the fruit.
3 min to mix all up and chuck into the oven(just done mine while waiting for the kettle to boil) - I've got no tin fruit so used 2 fresh apples cored and chopped.
Nice little treat in 30 min.

At the top of the thread is a link called "thread tools". Click on that and select "show printable version". That will show a basic version of the thread which is better for printing. But what I do is copy and paste recipes into a word document. I have quite a few files for different types of recipes. EG, main meals, soup, baking, drinks.0 -
Ta - off to try that right now!!Weight loss - here we go again - watch this space!

Hello black saturn. Thanks a lot for posting your meal plan, I thought I'd try to copy it for this week, but my total for shopping is nowhere near £7.00 and there are only two of us (step kids only on Saturday). Where do you shop? I know I'm asking a lot but could you price up your shopping list so that I can work out where I'm going wrong. I feel like a complete failure because the cheapest I can do your shopping list is for £16.
Please will someone help me to find the shopping list cheaper. I feel so !!!!!! right now. I thought I was doing well and becomeing an old styler. But truthfully I have such a long way to go.
Please will somebody help me find Black saturns shopping list for cheaper than £16.00.0 -
I hope someone can help you with this ambergold.
I just wanted to say not to feel bad about it though, there is no way I could do it that cheaply with the shops around here either. Even the market I can get to does not seem to have the low prices others can find. We each just have to do the best we can, with what is around us I think. Also, surprising bargains often happen when they are not on our list, so we need to be prepared to suddenly change our plans and take advantage of them. That can help overall to bring the price of the shopping down.0
