  • Ooo blimey...they have dug their heels in!! We havnt had to deal with that so i cant offer any advise. Maybe try again in a month or so as they are more likely to except offers if they arent getting much interest at the moment.

Dont get too involved with one property, there are many more out there. I am sure there are others intersted but most will not be able to get a mortgage.

Very true... Just got a phone call from another Development site Bellway, which we were not very keen on that development but they kept offering us discount...

They only build 2 of this kind out of 79, and these two are at the best location on the whole site...

If these other people who are really interested, they will offer. If you can, hold your nerve to see if they do, then put your own offer in. This will mean a lot of work on your behalf as you will have to keep checking back, but this smacks of a ploy to get you to pay the money they want-don't let them push you!

Thanks, that was exactly I being thinking this afternoon. But if we keep checking, do you think they will be fed up by us?

I would still be a little nervous on off plan. Just seen another thread where someone has bought and moved in, the builder has now walked away from the develpment meaning none of the landscaping etc is going to get done. This poster is going to be living on a building site in an unsellable property for many years.

They won't be so fed up that they won't want to sell to you! At the end of the day, it's their job to sell it. Which means dealing with you in a manner that will encourage you to buy it, no matter how many times a day you ring! (Although I wouldn't ring loads of times a day. Twice a week is probably enough). I would nearly be willing to bet money (lol nearly) that they will be on the phone to you next week seeing if you are still considering an offer.
