Afternoon All,
Just slipped on whilst DD'2 are amusing themselves in the garden :T, and DS is in Buggy enjoying the sun:T.
Pottering about today, made bacon and cheese pasties for DD's Tea with LO mash which will become cheesy mash and good old baked beans, bacon mushroom and cheese ones for me and DH for tomorrow. Tea for us is Thai grn curry, just waiting for filo to warm up so i can make the samosas:D.
DH has cemented rotary in now :T, so no longer have it at 45 deg:rolleyes::T. 3 loads done today and on line. Hoovered through.
i've sold my old pram on the bay of e :T, and have other things finishing tomorrow all funds to go in the pot.
Hope everyone's ok and enjoyed the sun ;)You know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket

I am speaking very quietly because I am suffering from the wrath of grapes.... :rotfl: :rotfl:
I am all packed for my trip and I just popped into work to make sure my cells had enough food for the week (honestly, the goldfish are less trouble).
Walked to work via the nature reserve and several charity shops - picked up a huge amount of ribbon and brocade for £5. I will get the sewing machine out this evening and make...err.. somethingI could have taken the whole box home, but OH gave me the "not more ribbon" look, so I didn't. There were some wonderful bits of applicque there too - looked like the sorts of heavily embriodered yokes for clothing, but I wouldn't have been able to do much with them, so I left them.
I saw some crocheted roses which looked wonderful in the interior design shop on the way down. I can only crochet holes so I thought that I might try and find a pattern so I have something to do on the plane; otherwise I will go insane through boredem. I don't sit still well and 12 hrs is going to hurt.
bethebee - nice to see you back
annieBL - nice to see you back too, hope you are feeling better now. Glad you got the redundancy pay sorted.
Have a good week all, cel x

Very little time to spend as the match is just starting and have to go out in 30 minutes so can't miss the bit I will be here for.
Hugs to all...might get back later

evening!
not been a great day so far - DH was taken into hospital this morning so I've been there all day and am going back in a bit. I was at work when DS1 rang to say Dad thinks he's having a heart attack(he's already had 1 plus bypass surgery) He's been poorly with sciatica all week and was in agony last night. He collapsed on the toilet this morning. We are now waiting for test results but it look like a false alarm. The hospital is an hours drive away, my sister fetched me as I went in the ambulance this morning,so I've come home for a rest and a meal and to check on the dogs and boys before going back with DHs things. Am worn out.
I hope everyone else is ok, obviously not had chance to read anything.
Take care all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Thanks for the welcome back peeps.
taplady just read your post. Hope your DH is ok. Thoughts are with you and your family. The following post seems quite insignificant now.
celyn I must have my Irish head on today (though I did a lot of Scottish shouting and not a lot of lady-talk at the Scotland v England rugby match - being a Scot and all that). When you said heavily embroidered yokes I immediately thought of a load of old Irish gents supping the Guinness and telling loads of jokes! (or yokes as they call them in the Republic
) Enjoy your trip.
The new mattresses have come and are fab. DS and DD have had a quick lie down on them and given their approval so, job well done for a little more than £100! (which is amazing given that the quality is equal to the Sealy in the showroom - but the mattresses are made locally)
Have stripped DS and DDs beds and the bedding has been washed and line-dried. The mattresses will air for a couple of days before I make them up as DS and DD are staying with their dad for a few days.
More housework done today so overall I'm feeling quite good though I do need to get the BM on tomorrow and I also need to make an apple pie to use up the stewed apple and cinnamon I took out of the freezer to make room.
My WM was playing up earlier as the conditioner drawer wasn't emptying properly. Soon found the problem - a gungy drawer. This has now been thoroughly cleaned so I will do a 95degree wash to clean the whole machine through.
Have a great evening all. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
