Morning peeps!
Arrggghhh - where did my message go. Isn't it infuriating? And why does it happen
A lovely start to the day here - a bit frost tho - glad I remembered to close the greenhouse last night!
Going into town later with DD. Her new glasses have arrived.:j Will also pop to the market - there is fantastic butcher there who does wild rabbit! No, NOT chocolate ones:rotfl:
We are lucky enough to live in a hamlet, very rural. At the end of the road is a ford, usually only 1" or two deep. Will take the springy-bobs down there this afternoon. They love the water - even a muddy puddle holds irrestistable fascination for them - the muddier the better:rotfl:
Will stop at the Sportsmans Arms for a little light refreshment and enjoy the afternoon sunshine.
Dinner will be broccoli and cheese flan (Co-op, reduced to 50p) with salad. However, with all this talk of BBQ's, may change plans and get some chicken out of the freezer.
Also had some lovely news yesterday evening. My lovely cousin and his gf have just had their first baby:j A little girl, Emily-Rose, 8lb 2oz Sadly, they are in Germany right now, so won't get to meet her until Easter.
Have a super Saturday - don't forget to take some 'me-time'

Morning all,
Beautiful bright day here again, long may it last, OH has gone to the bootie, I dont mind at all, as he loves it, but He does wake me up VERY early for a saturday, and I cant get back to sleep  , so one load of washing is done and on the line, two more small loads to do.
Ivyleaf, what a relief for you, hope you are ok now xx
Squiggly, you can get a spike thing that you can sink into the lawn for a rotary line, easy peasy, hope you are keeping well xx
Plans for today are, get dd up in a while, she is going into town with her mates, and needs to have a bath and hairwash before she goes  , OH will make some breakfast when he gets back, (its his job at the weekend ), then I will make some sandwiches and a flask of coffee, and we will look in our book of walks and pick out another one, its great fun trying to navigate our way around, and we will stop half way for our picnic.
Before we go, there is another 2 loads to be washed, OH was putting a kitchen in at work, and moved the clients fridge, which leaked rancid smelling water all over him _pale_ , god knows what state the fridge was in.
Turkey leg to go in the sc, which will be turned into a curry for tea tonight, need to hoover through, empty bins, and mop the floors, and then the day is ours :T
Our Kayak has not arrived yet, but we have planned our first route, cant wait for it to come
Ok need more tea, have good days all xx
Edited to say, I think today is the day for Kathy and her hubby to set sail, at least they have a nice day for the crossing, Bon Voyage :kisses3:0 -

Morning all
been AWOL a few days - dd(19)'s exbf causing grief againresult is that our bijou residence now contains dd(19), her bf, dgs(4) and dgs's imaginery doggy friend Pippin. I have to say that although i wish the circumstances were better i am loving having them. dgs asked where i was going the other morning and when I said work he said "oh Nana! you must be so excited!!" bless!
Anyhoo as i'm cooking for the masses i was deeply grateful for last night's yellow sticker bonanza - lamb mince, pork chops (ta for the recipe suggestion squiggly diddly) sausages and chicken in various forms all at less than half price - oh and a lovely big beef joint for £3 instead of £11. When it's just me and dd(12) i get a bit lazy towards the end of the week so it's lovely to have the numbers to justify the effort of cooking properly.
Plans today are a megablitz, and a megasession in the garden. I'm watching how the sun comes round the garden before moving the raised beds
have good weekends allI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Red Ruby They are English Springer Spaniels. Both liver/white, mad as hatters, boundless energy, soppy sofa-loving fur babies.
They are getting on a bit now tho - Lily is 7 and has produced 3 litters of gorgeous pups, Jess is 6 and had one litter. She had to go the the vet to have her litter as she was in difficulty with the second one - it got stuck. We were at the vets from about 8 in the morning. By 5 that afternoon she had given birth to 11! The vet thought she had finished, so took her for an X-ray to make sure. There were still 4 more to come tho! Vet had never seen such a big litter!Sadly, 2 were mal-formed and still-born and 2 more slipped away in the first 24 hours.:j[DFW Nerd club #1142 Proud to be dealing with my debt:TDMP start date April 2012. Lilibet, how lovely, I love springers, they have so much bounce, and all those pups, sounds like heaven to me
I have little dog, who is a Boarder terrier, very small and fiesty, but a typical terrier, chases imaginary rabbits, and sleeps for England, She is still in bed now

Good morning everyone
It's such a long time since I posted - I see the daily has quite a few "new" posters. :hello:
I have had shingles for over a week now (boy, I didn't know they were that painful. ) so not much OS has been done around here. Still, I feel quite good today so I'm sure I will get something done.
I did have Thursday as an unexpected day off though so I got all my washing done and line-dried, my bedroom done, the kitchen and living room done as well as the staircase. Why is it you always get more done on an unexpected day off than you do when it's just a normal day?
My second-job boss is retiring at the end of March. My first-job boss has made up the hours for me so I won't be financially affected. However... I've had a struggle on my hands to get my 2nd boss to admit he owes me redundancy money. (That's the closest to an indignant smiley I can find!). So eventually I printed off some info from a government website, posted them to him and told him I expect to sort it out when I next see him. He saved me the trouble and phoned to say I was right and he would pay it. :T Even though to some it will be a piddling little amount of money, it will make a BIG difference to me as I can tick quite a few things off my "need or to-do list" with it.
So, I have ordered two new mattresses for DS and DD and they will arrive this morning. I'm also going to pay a bill off and the money left over will be sitting in my ISA until I decide what to do with it.
Oooops, didn't mean to waffle so much.
(((hugs))) to everyone who needs one and :j to those with something to celebrate.
Have a sunny Saturday, one and all. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
