Sun holidays from £15 are here again!

A friend just booked online and got butlins on july 17th. It's school for us but some of you mentioned having different school holidays so I thought I'd mention it.

He said all 3 butlins were available, but only if you choose half board which is £10 per person per day. My parents are going half board but haven't had their confirmation yet and don't know if they have to pay for 4 people or if they can just pay for the 3 people in their chalet.

They usually automatically quote you for 4 entertainment passes and I would assume 4 lots of halfboard - just ring and tell them its only 3 people and they will adjust it.

Personally once you add on the £10 per night per person half board I dont think its such a good deal.

No, I can't afford it but my parents don't want to cook while on holiday so they're treating themselves. they said that if they can't remove the 4th person from the bill they will feed one of my children for me lol!

(edit - it was the previous sun promotion that i'm talking about, my parents and i both booked butlins for september - still no confirmation or bill though!)

Lol, never mind the kids get them to feed you.:D

If you can get a bargain half board break then the food is really good vaue - self service lots of choice and if I wasn't booking with the sun I would book half board as its usually not that much more. But when you are adding it on top it just seems a lot more it would have cost us £120 for 4 nights, I'd rather have cereal and eat out for that.

In the good old days when they didnt snip the passes you could pass them on to others after you'd eaten - probably why they snip them now, lol.

we break up on that day

and have booked Devon Cliffs for that wkend
wouldn't have gone half board @ Butlins,but may have been tempted if S/C had been available when I booked! lol

We spent last weekend at Primrose Valley in Filey, upon entering the caravan i was greeted with big chunks out of the wall where someone had punched a hole through, the toilet seat was lying on the floor and wallpaper was hanging off the bedroom walls , bedroom window was held in place with gaffer tape !!

I complained to reception and was given a top of the range caravan on the seafront, with central heating, 3 piece suite and on suite

Very impressed with Primrose valley, the entertainment is top notch, you can tell its had a few million spent on it recently and its Havens flagship site.

The next day we went past the caravan they had originally tried to fob us off with and someone was in there, i wouldnt have accepted it but there you go

It just proves that sometimes it does pay to speak up -well done !!
