    The latest update

So here we are again, another Bank Holiday has just flown by.

Hello to all my wonderful diary subscribers (oldies and newies - I mean that in how long you have been reading my diary not actually how old you are - as that would be ageist and I don't do any ISM's). A friendly hello to my lurkers (unless you are a weird type of lurker then I retract my friendly hello and replace it with an "at arms length" how do you do and there is no need to shake my hand, thanks" hello).

I mustn't forget to say hello to any lonely Easter Eggs looking for a new home........ I have the perfect storage spot for you.... with other Eggs..... its warm and cosy...... in my tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum!!!!

Its been a couple of days since I've posted. Life in the Goose household has been preeettty hectic to say the least.

The weekend was spent doing the usual living life things, such as exercising (that is walking the dog and riding the horse), not to mention a bit of red wine consumption that must accompany the Easter Egg consumption. However, I feel champagne really matches chocolate better, but beggars can't be choosers, or should that read money management losers can't be choosers! Unless you are drinking someone elses shampoo then that's fine, but not fine if its stolen obv.

Over the weekend, I made some storecupboard treats. Like eating Easter Eggs hasn't been enough calorie intake! No, we have to top it up with toffee bars and all butter flapjack. Not forgetting the customary hot cross buns. Its a small miracle that I am not the size of a house, perhaps the size of a small outhouse maybe? Note to self, must exercise more. A hell of a lot more.

Things nearly went a bit Pete Tong in that I thought my extra cash I had earnt may have to go on an unexpected repair on the car. Thinky Mr GG has taken care of it, but I may hang on to the notes just in case Mr GG's Jim'll Fix It impression doesn't last the distance and I have to dip my hand in my pocket. Here's hoping I won't have to.

On the debt busting front of things, I still haven't taken my top back to get a smaller size, though I had to buy some essential undergarment-age so I may just take the top back and get a refund to offset against the new spend. Though was super proud of myself as I paid by Direct Debit normally would have been my former pal the MBNA CC that would have paid.

Though I did nearly slip back into my old ways, when I was asked if I wanted to purchase the matching extras and I found myself nodding. It was terrible, it was a totally uncontrollable reaction. Such a sucker for a Salesperson's push. Fortunately, by the grace of god and no doubt Martin Lewis, they didn't have my size. A close call indeed, I was teetering on the edge of treating myself to something that A) I didnt need and B) Could not afford.

In the back of my mind I was thinking that I would take the item off the assistant then when I got to the til just say to the cashier that I had changed my mind and would leave the frivolous accessory to one side, rather than to turn to her and say "actually I'd love to buy these as well but I really can't afford it as I have soooooo much debt, that the amount I owe could probably have bought all the stock in here, yet I am paying it off very slowly and I feel I have come such a very long way since my LBM and I have picked up so many tips from this ever so brilliant forum, you should check it out. Do you have money worries? Cards with high APR's? Suffering from the credit crunch? Worrying about your job security? Had an accident where you are not at fault? so if its alright with you young lady, I'll just leave them for another time?". I sort of felt that this type of remark might be just a touch too much information.

Instead of trawling the streets looking for a free parking spot and then walking to my retailers of choice, I treated myself to parking! Oooh get me, frittering my hard earned cash away. Seeing as I went round the shops faster than a rat up a drainpipe, the parking cost me one eeeeny weeeny squidddly quid. I did NOT get me a nice coffee to drink as I shopped, so one did not look chic and all disposable income like. I did NOT window shop and let myself get tempted to stick an impulse buy on the credit card. I did NOT just pop into a snacky type shop for a quick sugar / carb fix. Damn my debt. Did give myself a sneaky pat on the back for being a very responsible adult and continuing with my DFW journey.

This week is interview week. So shall be prepping and rereading my CV til I know it backwards and going over all my responses to those "tough interview questions" that are designed to make you squirm and panic and to reveal the true you. In the event of tough questioning, I'll just whip out a tasty selection of homemade treats to tantalize their tastebuds into dropping the job offer on my lap. Of course, I'll remove the crumbs before signing my life away.

BTW - Grey's Anatomy looks like its going to be a wunnerful episode this week. Don't miss it. Or if you do I'll keep all the McHotties to myself, incuding McDeady Danny Duckett. Really its not problem. Consider it a friendly gesture. Ooer, that sounds a bit wrong again!!

That's all folks for the lastest installment. Hope you are all having the best weather that April can offer you. So as always, I wish you a spendthrifty week and, when you think you need to go to the shops cos the cupboards are bare, go back and have another look, because there really is nothing wrong with having a burger, fish finger, half a smoked mackerel with baked beans, slightly out of date spinach and frozen veg. Cover it in cheap sauce of your choosing and Hey Presto its a meal that covers at least two food groups - carbs and veg, not to mention it saved you petrol from an extra trip out.

    Til the next time.........

Hi GG I've watched all the latest Grey's anatomy - still desparate for them to bring out the next on DVD. You know the horlicks advert "how can they sleep at night" eg car clamper etc - well in my job when I had to do unpleasant things - grey's anatomy was my "horlicks" LOL!

Good luck with the interview prep I know how exhausting that can be....

Mrs - I can't believe how much you've managed to sell on e-bay I have never listed anything (ooops)

    Hi GG,

Can I just say LOL to McDeady from Grey's?! He is gorg, can't remember his name but he was in Supernatural too as the father but I now lust after the sons, a bit younger than me but hey who cares! I've noticed most of the shows I watch have hotties in them, I even fancied Grissom from CSI, weird I know but he was very manly if a bit bow-legged!

Well bought meself a laptop so although spent money, I am looking upon it as a long-term keep my out the shops investment, as I will probably spend more time on here!

Good luck with the interview, will keep everything crossed!
