    Good evening one and all,

I'm feeling better today. f_f and her all encompassing cuddles have revived me. I thank you.

So today I have spent a grand sum of "nuffin"! Result. Well, actually, more a case of not going anywhere to spend owt and leaving my purse at home. What a combination!!!

I've been to Morrison's a couple of times this week to take advantage of their free parking and to also cruise round in there looking for bargains. I even made money!! Some poor soul returned their trolley without removing their pound coin. Also picked up some bargaintastic fruit 4x apples - 30p and 4x oranges - 30p!! Awesome. Also picked up some slowcooker mixes.

Buildings and contents due to be renewed this month so need to investigate this! Any tips/offers anyone is aware of? Also, any lurkers with little people who know about childcare vouchers who can explain it to my birdbrain ESP in light of the changes comng up? Some days I feel like the Gosling has zapped the very little brain cell I had into nothing. So now I've no hope of trying to convince anyone I'm intelligent!!!

    Enjoy your Friday night everyone.

    Til the next installment.........

Hey Mrs GG, sorry to hear you're feeling down at the moment but I'm sure your little gosling will bring the sparkle back. Lots more hugs from me if you need them *hugs*

Hey Mrs GG, hope you are ok, not been around for a while!
  • The Latest Update

Soooo I've been Missing In Action for quite some time. I figure that the gosling is an acceptable reason for such an absence.

Long and short of it is that I still have the dreaded debt but I need to set some time aside and add it up again as I've lost track. Not because I've been spending!!

MrGG is concerned about his own finances and its getting him down. Due to his repayments it means that I have to return to work following maternity leave which in itself is depressing as hell for a number of reasons. If he didnt have his debt, he'd be able to support us and I could be a SAHM. TBH if we have another gosling then I won't be able to return to work a second time as two lots of nursery fees would be too much.

So I am back on the wagon, spending only on essentials.

Even started online shopping! Go Me!!

Now I have a laptop in full working order again, I can check in on MSE and keep my diary up to date and keep myself on the straight and narrow moneywise. Here's hoping anyways!

Wishing everyone out there in debtland lots of motivation to keep fighting the debt.

    Til the next installment...........

  • Aww fanks Happy!

MrGG has hit the hay so I'm surfing the net, well MSE to be precise. Need to stay focussed on debt busting. Must check out Quidco again. I don't use it often enough, in fact I think I've used it once!! There lieth my problem perhaps! But then if I'm not spending how can I be earning? Catch22 innit? :rotfl:

You're back!! The gosling is a good excuse though and as I saw on Facebook he's a cutie so you're absolutely entitled to ignore us ;)

Quidco is good for cashback for things like:

    • Moving energy suppliers (I got £150 and it was surprisingly hassle-free)
    • Mobile phone contracts (£100 for Mr F's last one)
    • First grocery shops - £5 for Tesco etc
    • Anything you would normally buy online. I always go through them for shops like Debenhams, M&S, Boots, Tesco Direct. I got £1.50 for visiting Go Compare via Quidco for my car insurance and do free clicks as well (20p for entering a competition for example)
  • True when your not spending money it can't make you any lol lol. I have readjusted the budget it seemed although we hadn't claimed on house insurance it was going up so i moved suppliers. And saved a 120 a year plus 40 cashback I also renewed all 3 if my pet insurance claims and that's got me 45 per policy, although I have had to raise cashback claims which is annoying I will feel very cheated if I dong get my cashbacks :-/. I recently renewed my mobile but didn't see the quidico offer gutted but will teach me to keep an eye xx catch you soon xx
