Not bad. Been ill of late, which has sucked, but got an appt with a consultant in a fortnight so that should help hopefully.
Been without internet since Friday so having to do all my MSE stuff on my phone which takes aaaages and will likely cost me a fortune when I get the bill
Other than that it's the same old gubbins in Fresian Towers. Currently suffering through Match of the Day as Newcastle won 6-0 today and Mr Fresian was VERY pleased with the result.0 -
The Latest Update
Happy Friday y'all!
So what's new??
I am getting closer and closer to maternity leave, which in all honesty cannot come a moment too soon. This month will probably be my last day of full pay which is scary but ok.
I have continued to be really good and my spending has been on my current account, except for once when I ordered something online and wanted the reassurance of my CC. So apart from that, I have been very good - though I am still in my OD but I am no longer going over OD limit which is also very good for me. So its all a bit slowly slowly catchy monkey but progress is being made.
I have to remind myself when the statements come in and I am not making as much progress as I would like that if I hadnt of had my major meltdown regarding my money situation and made some major changes to my spending habits, well I dread to think what state I would be in now.
Regarding baby stuff I have been buying the bits and pieces whenever I have seen those items on offer.
I am so tired, its ridiculous how draining growing a baby can be.
Our mortgage is up for renewal and due to our debt, even though we've reduced it, we are having to stick with our current provider for a number of reasons. So we'll stick with them for another couple of years and then we'll think again.
I forgot to ask the midwife for my Health in Pregnancy grant form which is stupid as its £190 with my name on it! I have contacted her to chase it up so watch this space!!
Hope all you MSE'rs are fine and dandy. Life is somewhat hectic for me, well it would be if I could get my backside off the sofa to actually do some of the chores that also have my name on them. Its so much harder when you are shattered, have no energy let alone motivation. The house has never been so minging!

The Latest Update
Hello great MSE chums!
So looks like the next stage of my life is about to start. Finished work now. Really really got to watch the spending. MrGG is working his little tail feathers right off in preparation for the big day.
My challenge is to sort out a load of meals which are cheap and easy to make. Now that I am at home I will have more time to spend online and do the research. I want to catch up on a load of diaries as I am waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind.
I am plodding on walking the mutt daily which is keeping me active and vaguely healthy. Poor thing has to wait for me as I am no Linford Christie any longer, so the walks take twice as long as usual. In fact, I am sure that I hasve seen snails overtake me.
The gosling has been given LOADS of clothes. We have also been given two cots! So we have been exceptionally lucky with the generosity from friends and family. Its been a bit of a blessing really!!
MrGG has made dentage on his CC, least that what he tells me and I believe him. We know that the next 2-5 years are going to be tough but we are mentally prepared for it and we are already fighting the fight and are going to continue til we win not just the fight but the war itself. Not going to dwell on the cash we spent over the years, instead we are full steam ahead on reducing the debt.
I cancelled the Broadband last week, so that is another saving. Not that the blighters will stop calling to find out why. How many times do you have to tell these people? In the end I got really shirty with them. They say they have to send out a pack so you can return the equipment and I have a feeling that this will take some time and as time goes on they will continue to charge their monthly fee. I have my goosey eye on them..........
MrGG has suggested that we start our Christmas shopping now. Good idea!
Sorry that its not a hugely exciting update!!!!!

GAH!!!!!! Just lost my post!!!!!!!!!!! PISH!!!!!
The Latest Installment
Drives me crazy when I lose a diary entry!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just typical. Now will have to try and use my poor excuse for a memory to recall what I had entered.
So far today I have spent £2 (okay £1.98) on lunch items so that is ok. Not planning to spend any more cash. I do plan to do a bit of research though into baby bits, going to make a start on ebay and see if I can find any bargains.
Daytime tv is so dull. Luckily my Sky+ has come in very useful amd right now I am watching Toddlers and Tiara's which is about American pageants for toddlers - which is certainly an eye opener! The lengths parents go to - we're talking about highlights/eyebrow plucking/spray on tans/false teeth - the works!! I guess the prize money is some incentive but by the time they have forked out for all the glamour beauty treatments beforehand I am surprised that they even break even and that's without even accounting for the cost of the outfits!!
I am managing to fill my days easily enough with chores, though I am not going mad as my body won't let me. Everytime I drop something, its such an effort to pick it up. Not quite got the dog trained to pick things up for me which is perhaps something I should work on.
Still plenty of stuff to do round the house and it seems such a moutain to climb but I am getting there slowly. Rome wasn't built in a day you know!!!
I have a chum coming over on the weekend and I have offered to cook, for my sins. Any recommendations for cheap eats? I could use my slow cooker and make the most of batch cooking in prep for post delivery, so any links to cheap but tasty recipes, feel free to chuck them in my direction!!!
The car is proving traumatic but hopefully MrGG can work his magic. We are not in a position to change the car so will have to just put up with the blasted thing.
Amazing how quickly the days go when you are not at work, right now I'd be clockwatching willing the day to fly by so I can escape the office. The nights drawing in are certainly making it all feel very wintery. YUK.
I am mostly looking forward to Feb when I make my final loan payment and I am £190 a month better off. Cannot wait.
Hope everyone else is doing ok!!!!!!!

The Most Overdue Update Ever
Hello to y'all!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to y'all!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a reason for my absence as you probably have guessed. Baby Gosling eventually arrived healthy and chubby! We have a little boy who is growing by the minute and MrGG and I are completely smitten with him.
Being new parents has brought it's own ups and downs both emotionally and physically but we are muddling through after a particularly horrid last couple of days but I think we have turned a corner.
Financially, well my OD is a right state! However, my loan payments have finished! Hurrah! We also have a different car which is much more economical to run. I've used my CC twice for emergencies and will need to use it again for car insurance but I am shopping around as the quote have been skyhigh! Also I switched nearly all my Halifax balance to Mr Mean Virgin on a 0% promo til Oct this year which saves me a fortune as the Halifax I wasn't even making any inroads with the APR so I am chuffed with that.
So I am back in MSE mode, not that I was never off it (all my spends have been essentials and have been doing freebie social stuff) and I plan to show my goosey beak back around these parts more regularly and hope to catch up with a few of me MSE regulars! You know who you are!
Gotta go BabyGosling is crying!
