    The Latest Update

So its another Monday and another weekend under the belt. I didn't do half the things I wanted to. I know "What's new!"?

My Halifax card statement informs me that despite paying nearly £72 a month, they are charging me £66 interest, which means I am paying diddly squit per month which means I will never pay the balance off. The APR is 15 something%. What to do what to do??

Virgin have written to me to advise that they are changing their T&Cs so that now their customers pay off the highest APR debt first - which is mega!

Tonight, I am going to get my balances known and totted up, whilst I watch the season finale of Grey's Anatomy. Let me just say that I was not preparing for this storyline. Loving it but ever so slightly nervous about what will happen.

In terms of general pregnancy health, I won't bore you all with my aches and pains, of which there are plenty.

MrGG is very busy work wise but we have, today, had a massive crisis occur in that his vehicle needs some severe expensive work doing on it. Of course, we have no savings or anything to pay for it. So who knows how we will pay for that.

On the plus side, the mortgage peeps granted us our interest only mortgage!!! Partyyyyy!! So that will kick in shortly, which is good.

My current account is a mess. No two ways about it. Again, I need to take a closer look.

The cats need vaccs and one needs dentistry but we dont have the cash so they'll have to wait for a little bit.

I am so tired, I could sleep for England.

I also need to get back on the flylady thread, however its all I can do to launch myself off the sofa to go to the freezer to get an ice lolly. Aint pregnancy grand!

We have some chicken that needs to be used by tonight but I have already eaten, so any suggestions? Can I cook it and then freeze it or do I cook it and use it in sandwiches, bearing in mind I am being fed at work tomorrow, courtesy of work. I hate throwing food away, even more so when I know how skint we are.

Well done to those who are reaching their debt free dates soon and well done to those who are being savvy and making the right choices concerning spends. I salute you!

    Til the next time...............

ETA : Signature update, not great but no worse. So some small achievement.

I haven't spent on credit cards for ages so i don't know how much is at a higher rate... If it was small enough we could get rid of the high intrest part first lol. One can dream. I'm same with intrest eating a huge chunk out of actually card payment but it all helps :-) and it keeps me focused. Stoopid car troubles eh drive you barmy they all seem to come at a bad time grrr. Nice to have you back posting yay on the new figure keep up the good work x

Hey Mrs GG, you should be able to cook the chicken and freeze again, hope not too late to do it!

As for Grey's, I was crying my little eyes out, could hardly see the screen, what a finish!

Is it me or are diaries pretty quiet at the mo?

The bank have very helpfully declined a CC payment which means I am in the doo doo. Will have to see if MrGG will bail me out. I hate th shame of talking to the CC staff. MrGG tells me probably half of them have money troubles bur I am not convinced. Bank staff aren't allowed to have debt are they?

My next challenge is to try and get that Halifax amount sent elsewhere on another card(s) as I am only paying £6 a month off with the interest and on a balance of over £5.5k it's looking pretty grim.

We are continuing to do luncboxes which is good. I also get a small glow of satisfaction each day knowing that it's saving us money and also they taste quite nice too! The sandwiches that is, not the boxes they are packed in. Tines are not that hard yet.

We are due to meet with our mortgage advisor soon. This also fills me with dread. Why? Cos we have to discuss our debt. Also there will be the question of "have you ever missed a payment?". Technically no however I guess the bank bouncing the DD means I have. Or does it? Any advice here welcome.

Anyone else being subjected to the Tour De France? So dull and I don't even understand it. Will so be glad when it's over.

Today has been a busy day what with dawg walking and stuff. So much so I had a weeny sleep on the sofa. Til i was rudely woken up by MrGG.

I am really enjoying the light evenings. They make such a huge difference to your state of mind.

Roll on the next series of GA. Wonder if they can top it? Hope so!!

Am I the only one watching Big Brother? (my excuse is it's mse as I am not having a social life which I know is nothing new!).

Hope you are all enjoying the slightly cooler weather, I know I am.

Til the next installment.......... By then I hope to have my comedy mojo back!

Most bank staff I know have debt!!!! probably cos the pay for normal people is pants. itsonly the big bosses who get big bonuses

Call centre staff will be used to payments being returned & most of them want to help....

you are making steady progress, thats what matters

    Evening all!

Quick visit on here whilst I am being subjected to Top Gear.

Main news is I have been paid and as usual already my dosh has disappeared off into the nether regions of debtville. I guess one way to look at it is that's another month done another mega loads to go.

With the little spare cash I did have I have been buying baby bargains. Virtually all the major stuff purchased has been in a sale or on offer. I hate paying out full price for anything these days. Some would say I am tight though I like to see it as being frugal !

This week I will mainly be having packed lunches for work and walking round the shops window shopping. Totally MSE as its free exercise and research into baby stuff without spending a penny. That's the theory. I will leave my purse in the office and if I still want the item at the end of the week and it's a good price then I may part with sone cash. Then again I might not.

As my social life will be mainly tv led let's hope that there is some good stuff to watch provdong I can stay awake long enough to watch any of it.

I still have nonhad a chance to catch up on everyone's diaries which is rubbish on my part so hopefully I can do that this week too.

Any top tips at the mo out there in MSE land ???

    Til the next installment..........
