Happy Saturday working folk! My life is one constant weekend as maternity leave is the dog's bits so it is. The flip side is that we are majorly skintoid to the power of a trillion making us soooooooooo skint it's untrue. But we are surviving. Sort of. Kind of. Only just. We are not at the stage of robbing Peter to pay Paul. This time of year is always rough anyhoo's. The added complication of reduced wages due to ML complicates things and MrGG is keeping us afloat. Changing the car, my loan finishing, moving £5k from the high APR card to 0% also weighs things in our favour.
I have ten Keeping In Touch days though I am not sure if they are worth taking. Any other mums lurking who can advise? Assuming I can fund someone to treasure my treasure for moi!
I'm not using my current account at all. Cos I can't. It's maxed. I have become very good at finding freebie stuff to do with the Gosling and I am breastfeeding (it's free and convienient!).
Car insurance due end of month. Will go on a CC cos it's cheaper than monthly payments. That's my mission for next week.
Well that's all folks. Nowt exciting occurring in the GG household. It's a night in front of the TV once the Gosling is sleeping.
Til the next installment.........** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

I thought things were tight last year but now I feel like we are at rock bottom. We are surviving but we really have to make sure every squid counts.
Today I went into town to meet a friend and she bought the coffee. Very nice gesture!! After our gas bag session I trundled off to do my chores. Updated a savings account into my married name etc and I've not used it for 8 yrs and I'm that time it's earnt £3 interest. I know. Shocking. Should have closed the account and put the money towards fuel or upcoming bday presents. But I didn't. I also did some othrr errands to make the most of having to fork out for parking.
Didn't do any of the housework that I planned to do. Perhaps tmw after my freebie Mother & Sproggo group.
TBH at the mo tired does not describe how I feel. Once the Gosling is asleep I'll have a bath. Will try to not think about cash/lack of it.

Am on my third incarnation - my MSE wagon was hijacked - we sold our house in record time, which was good but the speed of it all wasn't built into the budget!! also didnt realise how hard it would be to stay on track without the internet.....

Good evening one and all!
So the long and short of it is....... I'm skint. Broke. Totally brassic.
Gone OD on my OD and incurred a ton and some of fees. *cries*
I'm not even spending/over spending as MrGG is paying for my fuel. I'm not socialising unless it's free. I've become a Master at digging out free kiddie activities as well as grouping journeys and chores together in order to maximise fuel usage.
Sorry it's a very brief update but I'm feeling a bit blue due to money worries.

Read over the debt-help bit and see if any of the information applies to your situation.
It's only money at the end of the day. You have Mr Goose and the Gosling and they're what's important.
For money nonsense you have the People of the Internet cheering you on. We're here if you want to SOA again or need any other help.

Thank you F_F!
So sick of the debt. So sick of wishing I'd not been such a spender.
Totally true that it's my family (ooooh get me and my "family" - seems weird but nice using that term) that's important.
I don't see how I can avoid the charges cos I have very little salary at the mo and my OD is already mammoth and I don't want to extend it and being as my income is so low I doub they would anyway.
