The Latest Installment
Evening all folks,
Another day, another night in.
I'm watching a show about polygamy. It's all a bit different, that's for sure! Each to their own. I must say that since our social life died due to no money and needing to rein in the spending, I can honestly say that our one luxury of Sky tv has been a real saviour as there is naff all on regular tv these days is there? What happened to all the drama and thriller series? Disapeared into a black hole I think.
So the Goose household is still skint. Nothing new there. I've been desperately fighting the urge to get my CC out and do some spending. The Gosling needs some bits, I need some bits for work but at the same time I've got some other expenditure that needs covering, so I've been really good so far and resisted. I hope I can be as strong next week and the week after and the week after.
Not much else to report at the moment I'm afraid, so my diary is not very exciting.
Perhaps next time I'll be able to report some major windfall or some amazing news. I wouldn't hold your breath though. Really. I wouldn't.
Til the next installment......** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

The Latest Update
Evening all,
Hope you've all had jolly brilliant debt busting weekends.
Managed to have some lovely family time today which was nice. Even more so as it's a rare event. We are always racing everywhere, trying to do a trillion things at once and then always finding ourselves running late for the next thing.
I've had to really fight the urge to spend. Ridiculous. I want/need some items but I don't have the cash for them at the moment. I'm such a "want it now!" type person. I blame my father. He's impulsive and of the "if you want it - have it" mentality, whereas my mother is "does it cost more than 2p? then don't buy it" mentality!
If I do spend on my CC all I am doing is costing myself more money what with the interest and all. So its silly.
Got to stay strong. I know that I have to confess all on my diary and that is helping me not spend. I also don't know my PIN so would have to spend online which also deters me as take ages to boot the PC up. Secondly, my PayPal is linked to my current account and there is no cash there so that also stops me.
I must remember that spending on my CC is simply extending my sentence as a slave to the debt.
So on that bright and breezy note, I'm signing off.

The Latest Update
I'm a bit excited! Why? It's almost payday! My first paycheck for quite some time now. Need to make it last and I am hoping it will go some way towards evening about my overdraft.
The Gosling is currently standing up, holding on to the TV cabinet and dancing! Well, I say dancing, it's more like bobbing around to the music! Brings a smile to my face.
In debt busting this week, I've taken packed lunches to work, not spent a penny. Last week I spent 99p on a massive bag of pretzels! I've got some must spends coming up - birthday present, new baby present.
Today I whipped into Morrison's and instead of going wild in the aisles and spending spending spending, I bought bits we needed eg conditioner, cat food, milk, pasta bows and a garlic and herb tear and share bread (on offer for £1!). Spent £10.75 and I got it all into one bag so I was chuffed about that. I put things up and then put them back after I had the "do we NEED it vs do we WANT it" conversation in my head! Very effective. We are waiting for MrGG's payday to come and then we are doing t'BIG SHOP.
Only a quickie from me.
GAH - MrGG has come home with the same newspaper I have bought. *head desk*
Be good, be debt free savvy!

The Latest Update
Like lots of other DFW's I'm spending a wild night in. I've got a date with X Factor. How beautiful is Kelly Rowland? MrGG is like a smitten kitten watching her on the box.
Our stupid SkyPlus keeps deleting things we've started to watch but not finished. It says we have 3% left but only a few things recorded. It's so frustrating.
MrGG dressed the Gosling this morning in a pair of jeans that we've been given. I can't believe that he didn't notice that they don't fit! The Gosling was sporting the same look as all the "wide boys" in town with his vest and nappy on show with the waist of his jeans slipping under his bum! Can't trust men to do owt hey? We've been very lucky on the clothes front with tons of stuff donated. Don't ask me why but I don't like dungarees. They are a PAIN!
Spent £20 on fuel today which should last a little while. Did I mention that we bought a new car a little while ago? We are now the proud owners of a diesel vehicle. Costs half the price of our last money pit to run. MrGG now answers his mobiles without dreading the "have you got any money for fuel, I'm on the red" which is always a bonus in any relationship, I'm sure you will agree.
I hear we are to have glorious sunshine next month just before the snow arrives. A real mixed bag of stress ahead. I hate the snow with a passion.
My mum is wanting to buy a laptop - is Dell still the best? *looks at f_f*

I love my laptop and it's still going strong, but I did have to replace the battery and power pack after about 18 months which cost £150 :eek:0 -
