Ok my corny joke for the day to cheer up GG.
Rabbit goes into a hardware shop, and knocks on counter three times, saying got any carrots?
Bloke says no, we don't sell carrots.
Next day rabbit goes in again knock on counter three times and says again , got any carrots?
Bloke says no, i told you yesterday we don't sell carrots:mad:
The third day he goes in again, knocks on counter three times and before he says got any carrots, the bloke says you do that again and i will nail your paws to the counter.
The fourth day the rabbit goes in knocks on the counter three times and says, got any nails?
The bloke says no
He knocks three times again and says got any carrots?::cool::rotfl::rotfl:
It is good with the actions and always makes me giggle anyway:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Continuing the bad joke theme...
What's brown and sticky?
A stick!
What's black and white and red all over?
A penguin with sunburn!
What do you get if you cross an Andrex Puppy with a rottweiler?
A dog that scares the sh*t out of you and runs away with your toilet paper
*gets coat*

Hi Mrs GG,
Wishing you better luck on the job hunting front!
Been trying to think of jokes but I am really bad at remembering them, the only one I remember is this:
What did Kermit the Frog say when he reached the top of the mountain?
I' Muppet - sorry it's bad but always makes me laugh.
Have a nice night xx0 -

*chuckles hysterically to oneself at all the bad jokes and feels instantly lifted cos her fellow DFWs have taken the time to post esp in an attempt to lighten the mood*
Hello all! Hello friends, closet DFW surfers (come out come out whoever you are), to those who are out and proud to be tackling their debt mountains - or molehills for those of you who spotted a problem before it got waayy out of hand UNLIKE like little old me.
Today I am brighter. A bit. My "friend" arrived yesterday, so no doubt that had a lot to do with the severe mood swings. Was very teary at one point, then saw red and was fit to commit a crime of passion the next. Aren't hormones the best thing a girl could ever have. Mr GG says, he'd never have noticed and I have been a real pleasure to be around. He said peeing his pants laughing. OK OK OK, I know I am a madam, eg stroppy, not someone who runs a load of hookers. If that was the case I'd have mountains of cash, not mountains of debt. Assuming the ladies that worked for me are any good of course! Proves whatever line of business you are in, that there are all sorts of hurdles. Nothing is easy. Flip me. I think I am off my rocker! LOL.
Still not heard from the company who interviewed me recently, so I sent them an email, to thank them for their time and to ask why I didnt get to next stage, what could I have done differently - apart from the obvious, such as working for free! Will see if they come back to me. Think its still bad not to have been told if its a no anyway. Plain rudeness.
Finally found the GM book and sent that off to the lucky buyer, again, for a poxy £1.15 profit. Ridiculous to send at £1,85 a time. If I was still in a job I'd send it via work. LOL. Perks of being employed I suppose. Oh but on the plus side........ I got a £2 coin in the change! Yeah baby! My eyes lit up and my eyebrows shot to the roof as I saw that little gem being handed over by the Post Office cashier..... she must think I am barking. Or realises that I am very poor and anything that sparkles catches my eye. Yup - I am a magpie.
Oh and whilst I was sorting out things at the Post Office, no joke, this pregnant lady gets out of her car, and she was realllllllly old. Seriously I was trying to guestimate her age, but gave up. Very odd to look at. Unless its just cos I is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery young? Non? As if!
One agency contacted me to ask if I am avail for temp work next week, I am as of Tues so I am waiting to hear back. Prob nothing as they'll need someone from Monday, but you never know so we'll see!!
Must look in the local rag over the weekend to see what's out there job wise too.
Got treated to lunch today. Very nice. Though I am very stuffed, that I can hardly move. Must try and work some of it off as I am not as fit as I used to be. Tried to run a bit this morning, I knew it was a stupid idea as after about 10 strides I got stitch! Ridiculous!!! Need to get back in shape. Pref an Elle Macpherson shape really. Though that would take years of personal training, stacks of body plastic surgery and a bank balance, that I simply don't have.
The debts are going down very slowly. Though as of now, Mr GG is paying my share of EVERYTHING. I am skintoid. He is being very good, for the most part, with the odd tantrum, thrown in for good measure.
At some point, the house needs Mary Poppins to visit, perhaps after Kim and Aggie have been to give it a quick chemical clean. How does the place get so dirty???? Oh yeah, that's right, cos I have done Jack all week, chores wise. I am blaming Mr GG and the dog. They live here too and I aint taking all the blame. Well I am, I am just mixing things up a little as I am bored.
RIght, lots to do, job to find, house to tidy, laundry bin to empty (its like the tardis - only small but go so much stuff in it!), tv to watch.
SH, thanks for remembering me. Don't worry about it. Things like family funeral faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar outway my PM request. Honestly.
Hope everyone is having a good day. The sun is shining. Plus its Friday. Keep those wallets and purses away from those harmful UVrays, keep them stashed firmly in the bottom of your bag, pockets. Its for your own good.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Hey hey, your updates always bring a smile to my face. Certainly makes my day far better, especially as have 2 hours left to work. Only nice thing is that we are hoping to pick up a little ginger kitten this evening....awwww.....I can't wait!!!
By the way if you think you sound mad, I have sat all afternoon with radio on, singing and chair dancing....not a great sight or sound I can tell you  It gets me through the afternoon though
Hope you get that temp work xx0 -

The Latest Update
How's everyone doing?
Well, me, I am doing ok. The darkness of PMT has lifted and is now a distant memory, at least til next month. Ha Ha.
I emailed the company who interviewed me recently, they apologised for not getting back to me sooner (personally I don't think they had any intention of getting back to me at all) and they said that there wasnt anything I needed to add to my CV or delete, yet it was just a case of there being very strong competition. Whatever that means? Could be they went for someone older, younger, hairy-er, cheaper, spottier, who knows. Ah well, another one bites the dust.
The agency that messed me around recently have approached me about another job, sounds good on paper, but talking to them on the phone about the role, I am not sure its right for me, however I have asked to be put forward for it anyway. At least it keeps the Job Centre and Mr GG happy if nothing else!
Managed to do LOADS of washing yesterday, got it all line dried as well. Even did the bedlinen. That is my pet hate - redressing the bed, though I do love clean sheets. Also spent the weekend baking away. Delia, eat your heart out girl. YUM YUM.
Had to have an early night last night as I was pooped. Fell asleep in the bath, not good! So once I was done with the nightly bathing ritual I took myself off to bed, as I could hardly keep my peepholes open.
Got another £2 coin at the weekend! How cool is that!! Got given it in some change!! Mr GG also got a £2 coin, though he refuses to part company with it, despite my pleas of "Oh but I collect them!" He said its hardly the same as collecting stamps or bottle tops. He said he is going to start collecting £5 notes and when he sees me with one he is going to ask if I will let him have it. Ok so maybe he has a point. I did try to reason with him, using the "I am unemployed and its the only thing that keeps me happy", well that fell on deaf ears.
Got a statement from Northern Rock, telling me I have just one payment left on the loan. So its official. As from July, I have one less debt! Let's celebrate.
Still got a few chores to do. Actually the chores in this place are never ever ending.- Three piles of washing to wash, dry and then put away
- The blinds all need a good wipe over
- Clean laundry needs putting away as that is upstairs loitering
- Walk the dog
- Sort out the horse
- Tidy and sort the computer room (bomb hit it - is putting it very lightly, looks more like Armageddon)
- Watch some TV
- Empty dishwasher
- Tidy kitchen a bit
- Sort out wardrobes - too many clothes we no longer wear need bagging up
Not really got much else to report at the mo.
Hope everyone out there in debt land is behaving and taking care of their bank balances and staying loyal to the brands that are the cheapest! Don't be brand loyal be price loyal, its the only way to get a bigger bang for your buck! Ooo-er.

Maybe I should start collecting £20 notes........:rotfl:
Well done on the baking, I cant bake to save my life, I cook a little bit but when it comes to bread and cakes - nah.
Good luck with the continued job hunting and SUPER WELL DONE on nearly clearing the loan!! You should have a little celebration when you make the final payment!!:T
