Hi GG sorry you have had a pants weekend! I know where you are coming from on the suit thing....
I would like to tell you to take it back and buy a top instead but since I've been job hunting I've bought.... wait for it
£30 black suit trousers to go with a jacket I already have
£50 jacket - cos it was a bright cheerful colour and would help me stand out from the crowd honest - that and it fitted better than my others
£10 top Next
£12 top M&S
Oh and a couple of new handbags but I got them for £7 and £2.50 so don't feel too guilty about them
For me that spending is an investment and slows down my debt repayment but if it boosts my confidence and that confidence gets me a job then it was worthwhile...
I think a new top rather than a new suit is probably what is needed - I think if you are struggling to meet your minimum repayments I would be tempted to take the new suit back and just get a new top unless you really believe that it sets you apart to that big a degree that it would help make the difference... I definitely would wear a suit to interviews though....

as for work and finding a job its really hard. i went to an agency today and registered for temp work but there is none, the agency spent all of 7 mins talking to me - didnt even test me to see what i could do.
keep going on the road to debtfreeness. and yes i feel like running away often but you know what ? its still there and you take it with you in your head. be strong you will win in the end.

Plan some positives in your life to cheer you up... start a gratitude diary to keep a positive spirit - that way you will maintain your cheerfulness and enthusiasm and when you eventually get interviews you will come across better!

well I have an interview for tomorrow and have been put forward for 2 more jobs today so at least some progress.
I also queried my bonus - due at the end of the month - as the amount wasn't what I expected - they've agreed to pay the difference - woo hoo!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Evening ladies!
Latest Update
Decided to wear the new suit to the interview. My redundancy money has come through so have decided that I can use a bit of that to pay for the new suit. Plus I look uber professional and like a first class candidate. So not only did I look the part, I felt the part.
Interview went well. Have had initial feedback, they are pleased with my performance and are just waiting to hear if they want to proceed and offer me the job or if there is a third and final stage. So have everything crossed!!
Should know tomorrow. So it may be celebrations or utter commiserations this weekend. Let's see.
I also got another interview invitation today for a job I applied for recently. So if this current role doesn't come off I do have something else in the pipeline, which again is confidence boosting.
This afternoon I cleaned the kitchen with Stardrops (Yay Me!), only thing left to do is the floor, so Mr GG can give that a right royal scrub. Mr GG was indeed impressed when he came home to see how sparkly and clean the whole kitchen looked. Need to tackle the lounge tomorrow. Moulting dog is not a good look or whiff TBH. One room at a time is my new moto!!
Have had a couple of CC statements in this week, so will tot up those totals. Decided that if I do get to keep my redundancy dosh and not have to live off it I willl use it to pay off the CC with the highest APR, then I am going to cut the dratted thing up.
One of my loans finishes in June so that will be another £87 I won't have to spend.... though as my outgoings are more than I earn I dont think I will be able to throw that £87 at any other debt as I didnt really have that £87 to part with in the first place.
In my tiny little mind, I am working on the assumption that I get this job and if so I will use the time I have left in between starting to really get our home office sorted (resembles the aftermath of WW2 at the minute) and also to get stuck into Ebaying my shoes and handbags (I know, I hear you..... promises promises......), but THIS time I blooming mean it.
Today, MR GG and I took the dog for a walk together. Was nice, got to chat and talk about our future and our plans, whilst failing to resemble Barbara Woodhouse......We were lucky in that we missed any rain. Maybe its a sign. Maybe things are brightening up for us.
Our home insurance is up for renewal - robbing beggars want a fortune off us..... we won't be renewing. So we are hunting for a new supplier. Confused and Quidco here we come.
Mr GG is downstairs nagging at me to join him to have a go on his PS2 to play shoot em ups. I'd rather not TBH..... Men!!? Their timing is naff.
Tomorrow is Friday. Best day of the week. Lets hope it brings good news and some damn fine weather. If the sun shines, I'll be dog walking and horse riding whilst I still can.

fingers crossed for tomorrow mrs GG!
sounds like all going inthe right direction.
i have found an ebay thread and joined up ... i have become completely addicted to ebay! people buy the strangest things. have listed 12 items today 10 are being watched and i even have bids. i have the biggest pile of stuff to list and now refer to the things as my 'products' ha ha which make OH lol !! the dining room is my 'workshop' a big table where i arrange everything in groups and i m doing really well.
i reckon might beable to earn upto £500 this month if i can get every thing listed by sat. then move on to the next batch. i can see now where all our money has gone in the past... on vain needless tat and techno rubbish!
how many mobile phones and computer games can anyone need?
hugs to all

Hi both
GG - glad today's interview went well! Don't blame you for keeping the suit!
MrsMcr hope your ebay challenge goes well.
I think I did as well as I could on the interview - no idea how they think it went though - as I couldn't get hold of the agency... Hopefully get some feedback tomorrow but there are 2 more stages if I get that far which could take another 4-5 weeks!!!!
Waiting to hear if I have any interviews next week with another agency.... Fell down on the shopping centre next to the interview place tho LOL.... might have bought a new suit jacket or something... but strangely it is nice to have one that actually fits!!!!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
