I just had a look, find it all a bit worrying really. I'm not there but can see right into back garden even the washing on line.
What I find worring is a few doors away you can see children playing in a garden. You can also see all the house numbers clearly.
Is it just me or do others think this is wrong as well?

just a tad, and you could look in peoples windows and zoom in etc, quite wrong, and I bet somewhere in the uk theres bound to be somewhere someone shagging in a window or something else quite inapropriate too, and you can look in open shops and see people
  • ive just seen my fifteen year old son stood at the bus stop with his mates after school. luckily for him hes behaving lol.
  • OH MY GOD how cool is this lol i never knew i could do that before thanks xxx
  • This is brilliant! How do you navigate? For instance get from the front of a property to the back? How do you 'walk' along a route?
    Thanks

You can only go along the front of houses in most cases. Its just where the car went down. There should be arrows or you can just double click on the piece of road you want to go to.

Unless you walk down the road with your eyes closed you can do this everyday. They have only travelled down public roads and photographed what you would see normally as a member of the public.

I am in it in three different places. I am going to work and I am visiting my folks (different city). Because of the area where my folks live I am seen in two different locations. It was funny.

I've known about this for a long time and people, if you want a more smooth experience and better interface, download, install and run Google Earth and tick Street View in the check box at the bottom left of the interface. You will see yellow cameras on roads, just double click one of them to be taken into Street View. Using Street View via Google Earth is a more pleasant experience in my opinion!

For those new to Google Earth, be sure to go to the application settings and set textures to large and detail to high.

Just seen our Mother in full view (no blur) on a public path by a public road. She was disabled and the picture shows this. Bit of a shock.
And the fact she died last October.

    Bloody google.
