Wow small world eh? Then again it is a rather large forum!

University Computer Staff Department?
PC World? ("where in the world, Monkey world")
or .... do what I did. Run a business offering wireless broadband set up to students. How can students who want broadband shared in their house turn down such a good opportunity! £20 / number of students + the luxury of having the internet in their garden in the summer or MSNing on their laptop in the lounge while watching Neighbours (TV) during the day

University Computer Staff Department: Apparently not recruiting
PC World: I'd find it hard to work with the current employees. I had an argument with the manager on what a rollover ethernet cable was. They seemed to think it was a Crossover Cable which is completely different. Never the less, its part of the Dixons chain and known to be bad to employees.
As for the latter.. it's not a bad idea...! Though it is the computing campus so I think most can do it themselves
I will however think of another service. Cheers for the idea. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Do they block ports? How about setting up HTTP tunneling for those who have addictions to Counterstrike online, World of Warcraft or just want to P2P 24/7.0

I've been doing my own HTTP Tunneling recently to try out this fact!
Unfortunately HTTP Tunnelling only covers TCP at the moment. This is through companies such as https://www.yourfreedom.net. I tried buying my own cerven, installed ZBD and Ceberus for UDP/TCP Tunnelling but it is HIGHLY unstable.
HTTP Tunneling works fine for world of warcraft and a few other mmorgs however, so next year I'll try posting round advertisements for setting it up for them. Though it would be "ripping" them off sort of.. and when people realise yourfreedom offers it for a few quid a month they wont be happy :P
The other problem, is even though there is nothing that in plain text says its not permitted, RESNET will not be happy about the mass increase in bandwidth used and will get rather suspicious. I'd be risking a lot as it ain't exactly the most legit thing in the world
Nice thought though

When I was at Uni I got a temp job at Lever Bros, and being a student, at home, with no car, and raking in the overtime, I had so much money I didnt know what to do with it (was takin home £700 a week, but they didnt know I was a student and this was pre 2000 IT slump). Thats the honest truth. If you can get in at the right place (and blag it a bit like I did) youll be well setup moneywiseThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. That is over £30,000 a year and seeing as the average wage for a graduate in the UK after qualifying is £22k, probably not

What is the average graduate starting salary?0 -

Its up to you if you believe it or not but I worked for a blue chip company pre IT bubble. I also didnt mention to this company I was a student either
I was also already qualified with Microsoft and Novell (just below CNE level on the old Novell) and having worked at another blue chip for the previous year in the NOC of one of the largest private networks in the UK. As I siad doubt away, its your right.
I was the only student that didnt have to worry about money
