hi guys - well I have spent this morning clearing out ONE corner of my kitchen - I have gone thro 2 cupboards - chucked out SOME of the out of date stuff and rearranged things. I have also moved some things into the utility room.... Lots left to do
My sis is coming to stay at the weekend - I would like to make the house look respectable since this is a rare event!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well chucked out 3 bin bags of out of date food dating back years and sorted a crate and a half out of crockery for freecycle. Almost finished the kitchen now.
I also have a confirmed interview for a week on Friday following on from last week's one! Luckily it is in the afternoon as I had booked an urgent colour appointment for the morning! I have about a inch of roots (many of which are grey EEK EEK showing) The cut itself will have to wait until the following week but a colour will do it the world of good! I might ask him to phone me if he gets a cancellation re the cut....
Hope you are all doing fine! I actually managed a rare NSD yesterday - amazing! Also having sorted thro my store cupboards hopefully I won't buy anything we don't need / won't eat going forward. I have grouped foods too in little plastic baskets / tubs (that I already had) so it is easier to see what we already have in.
Well I had angel delight and strawberries for breakfast plus an apple (naughty but nice and within calorie count!) followed by salmon and cheese salad for lunch....
Need to finish kitchen! Hope you are all off enjoying the sunshine !Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks CMD - I just have the kitchen table left to clear now and things in the dishwasher to put away... then ideally I would want to clear the utility...! OH recently cleared the garage so that is looking great but the rest of the house is pretty much a tip...clearmydebts wrote: »Yum yum to the breakfast and well done on clearing the kitchen!

I have friends coming this afternoon and because we just moved in the flat is a tip. We are also trying to clear the spare room cos that is where our friends are moving into. I keep thinking of the extra 3 months rent we will get but our room is getting fuller and fuller and looking worse by the minute!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Definitely can relate to that one.... I need to force myself to give more away (or sell stuff) as we have way too much. We have a big enough house just too much stuff for it...!:oclearmydebts wrote: »but our room is getting fuller and fuller and looking worse by the minute!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am such a horder and have a mountain of clothes that don't fit me, but I also don't want to give them away. I resent selling them on Ebay cos you don't tend to get much for them and I have already given loads to charity!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I find it easier to give it is to a known family where I will keep seeing it used!
Still so much to get rid of. We just bought a paddling pool - partly with DD's birthday money.... can we find our electric pump? No! So she's gutted - so potentially I will need to go out and buy another one... We have asked a friend but theirs is in the loft and they haven't come round with it yet! In this heat not sure they will....
Oh well.
Diet is working out much cheaper this week - using up some of what was already in my cuboards and trying to stick to the calorie count rather than to their recipes... Hope it does the trick!
How's everyone doing? Seems very quiet on the boards -assume it must be the heat! Everyone's off having a life and enjoying the sun shine!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
