            Hi all
SC - I will reply soon honest LOL!
I have walked a mile so far today taking kids to school and back. I had an apple then grapes, strawberries and banana for breakfast - yummy! I looked at prices at gyms last night as you do - family membership would cost £1K - thought I'd better start with the little things LOL! I am going to check out the free kids swimming times and try and force myself to take them and hopefully that will give my body/diet a kick start!
Today I also plan to try and sort out my kitchen so that more of its surfaces are actually usable! I also need to hang some washing out to dry and have another load in the wash.
By then I think it will be time to go for my dreaded job seekers interview - I hate them! When I get back from that I expect it will be almost time to get the kids from school and so life's little circle continues!
Did have a little ray of sunshine yesterday (other than the actual sun which was fab) - we went to the cinema as a family and watched Night in the Museum 2 - decided not to use DD's money LOL! We booked tickets for the premiere of Harry Potter too in a couple of weeks time so that gives us something else to look forward to! I also did some work in the garden cutting back plants, picked red currants and cherries! Woohoo!
DD is currently on a TV ban/restriction for being a drama queen and it seems to have improved things. Far less tears and tantrums...

            Hi SH,
Hope the job seeker's interview goes ok, I hated having to go to the job centre, hopefully you will not have to for much longer. Good luck with the kitchen, mines is tiny yet it has taken me almost a week to do i.e. empty, clean and re-organise all cupboards, clean oven etc. Still not finished!
Enjoy the sun whilst you can xx0

Hi well the JSA mtg went better than expected - just have to wait for decision maker now...
I am baking where we are - as is the rest of the family so just bought OH some new shorts.... £12 from M&S I didn't think that was too bad. Unfortunately he is in a larger size so not that easy to get elsewhere that might have been cheaper...
Well I will soon be off for my walk to the school... wearing short shorts? Not sure if I will have the guts in practice LOL but I am boiled! Wore a long skirt (over shorts) to jsa mtg!
Thinking may take kids swimming tonight - they have free kids swimming where we are so we would just have to pay for adults!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I did shelley altho the other mums did not look impressed - on the way back I took my tshirt off to leaving my tankini top! I ended up with prickly heat rash tho on my legs so however annoying to anyone else - it was important to try and stay cool!Glad things went well. Did you brave the short shorts for school run?
I also was extremely virtuous and took my DD swimming. She enjoyed it - it was heaving so not exactly my idea of fun. I was proud of her tho as we were in the big pool and she can't quite swim yet but she was very confident with just a "woggle" a long foam thing under her arms....
Hope you managed to cool down!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well by my standards I have been moping the last couple of weeks possibly grieving my auntie, car and lost job .... I am also due that lovely monthly thing which is late but I think that is because I have been worrying so much recentlywell you have been a busy bee - eh SH?!
im going to start walking in the evenings in the school hols maybe even start jogging!
I am still spending too much compared with our revised income and soon we will have to start using our saving safety net to live... but that is what I originally put it there for altho I was hoping to get a job quickly and pay it off debt instead.
I have decided to try and make the most of my time at home to improve family health and fitness etc. If we can't clear our debts by our 40ths (next year) perhaps we could achieve some of our health and fitness goals instead....:j
OH and I had a talk re the state of our house (by which we mean its complete cluttered, untidy look) and we both feel we would need to reduce our belongings by about 50% to have any real prospect of being tidy ie create slots to put things away in etc. More storage is not really the underlying issue... my hoarding things just in case probably (definitely) is....
Since I have still not even finished the kitchen (first room I started on today) - I do have quite a way left to go:rotfl:Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

SH, I feel your frustration, I really do. If its not one thing that needs sorting its nine hundred and fifty five thousand and one things that need attention.
First and foremost, excellent start on the old exercise. Its great that you are walking (and saving ££ and shedding lbs at the same time). I was watching Top Gear at the weekend (stick with me, there is some relevance here trust me) and Stephen Fry was on it and he has lost 6stone! No joke, he looks amazing! He did it by walking and at the same time listening to audio books (I am sure you could get them from a library for free) and the weight fell off him.
Mr GG did also inform me that Mr Fry is of the Pink Pound persuasion and that it seems he (Mr Fry not Mr GG!) has an application on his Iphone as he showed Jeremy Clarkson that helps him find fellow PP enthusiasts in his immediate locality, so they can errrm meet up for... erm..... rendezvous with these chaps!
Its news to me that Stephen Fry is gay?
Sorry, I am off tangenting again.

            HI guys Thanks for posting
just had chicken fried rice diet style for tea - lovely... I have to say the recipes (generally) are good! Managed to walk to and from school - finally down to the weight I was before the car catastrophe a week or so ago. Hope that by Thursday's weigh in I will have broken the "stone barrier" and started going down again. I have managed to pick up a calorie counting abs roller from a freecycler so hope to give that a go later - only needs a clean and new batteries... woohoo!
I have sorted all the clothes into piles or bags - this is just the clean washing....
Kitchen improved very slightly in that the dishwasher is at least only on tonights load not yesterday's LOL!
I need to actually apply for some jobs as well tho which I haven't managed to fit in yet this week.
Oh well back to the grind (housework) - see you later... Feel free to join in any lurkers out there - it really does make a difference (and probably a far more interesting read LOL)!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
