Hope meeting goes well tomorrow. I know what you mean about possibly missing out on higher paid jobs but if nothing came up for a while the higher pay is less - if you follow what I mean! Maybe it is about seeing whether you like the team - that can be worth something too!

Thanks Maggie - the two members of the team I have met so far seem really warm, friendly, professional! They liked my ethics and values and even accepted that as a really positive reason for leaving an earlier job... I have to say that can be unusual! It would be nice to have some stability back....

Hi all - thanks again for the interest and concern

I think I will be formally offered the role tomorrow but it is considerably below what I want to earn

I am in for 3 6-12 month roles which are all more money and potentially less hours and 1 perm at the moment... the problem is that these are all likely to drag on for a while more yet. It may be wise to take the bird in the hand while still going after the 2 in the bush... hard to get time off for interviews then tho!

Took DS out for quality time tonight - he was chuffed we had a long time talking. Managed to set up a babysitter for my birthday too (this week). At least if I get the job - the kids are away for most of the first 2 weeks which will mean I can just focus on the job and getting used to the activity levels rather than dealing with them too. DS is on an organised week away, and will then go to MIL's and poss my sisters- DD will need to be at my MIL's both weeks just home for the weekend.

If I do the job - OH will have to do drop off and pick ups for the kids at both ends of the day other than Fridays which will make things difficult for his job but that could happen in any of the roles. I will finish early on Fridays but that will involve working long hours Monday - Thursdays plus a longish commute... But it is money we need if we want to be DF

    Hi SH,

Well done on the interview - hope you hear something today! It will be good to get back into a job even if it's not your ideal one - you can always keep looking, or might even enjoy the less paid one. I would love to be one of these people, paid a pittance but love my job! Actually I think I am, ha!! Catch up later x

    Hi SavingH,

Hope you hear positive news today SavingH. It's good to have some money coming in as you can make a further dent in your debts. I usually find it easier to land another job when I am in a current job for some reason.

Let us know how you are getting on.
