Well had a nice relaxing day today - DS out on a playdate part of the day so that helped! Made DD have a little sleep as she was shattered. She is now in the bath - tea for tomorrow is cooking.... and I have finally put my first lot of washing in for the weekend - lots still to do if the kids are going to have decent things to wear!
Will I / won't I hear about the job tomorrow that is the question? And will I like the answer?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Morning,
Hope you are well. Just thought I would pop in to see how you are doing and news update....sorry that you have not heard yet. Fingers crossed for today! It's a nice sunny day so hopefully it'll bring some nice news along with it
Take care,
K x0 -
Me too, have to go out in a bit so hoping when I log on later you have had some news. I am really bad at waiting - would rather 'know' than have that horrible waiting feeling. Although I did get a job once that I had given up on as I hadn't heard anything in over a week - so hoping that applies to you too!

yep, same - was wondering if you had heard anything.
its a beautiful day, got 3 loads of washing out and it is almost drythe problem is with dry washing....... ironing
off to see john barrowman in concert tonight :j:j cant wait
I think I have managed to dissuade OH from booking a holiday, we really cant afford it and I know he would rack up another credit card with the shortfall, plus its not just the holiday, its spending money , clothes (2 teen DD's ) cattery expenses. its really hard when he wants something- its hard to stop him.
anyway SH fingers still crossed for you x0 -
Still not heard - might give the agency a ring again later....
Well DS doing SATS today - he is pleased I am off... DD woke all of us up all thro the night and then was crashed out until 10.40! I then took her to school!
Went to town bought a couple more bits for DD from MIL for her birthday then had lunch at s friends and helped her pack a few more boxes ready for moving house! Need to pick up DD shortly to take her to opticians and see if her eyes really are blurry or whether she is just attention seeking.....
Enjoy the concert SC - and thanks everyone for the good wishes!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Rang the agency - the interviewer still hasn't come back to them despite chasing! At the moment it feels like it must be a no - but who knows I may yet get a pleasant surprise!
The same agency are putting me forward for another job but it is much less money and further away. It is also only for 6 months but I suppose if I got it I could just keep looking for a perm job anyway.... It would get the money coming back in - but triple the travel cost and lower money than my last job....
I need to look at what else there is that I could apply for and chase around the agencies again.... A bit soul destroying tho!
DD doesn't need glasses - she has good eye health and if anything is slightly long sighted which kids her age should be... He wants to check her again in 6 months tho and see if anything has changed. Picking up DS from a playdate shortly so no doubt he will tell me how his SATS went - hope your kid (s) did alright in their SATS Mrs C!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
