Just bought part of MIL's present to DD - Littleist Pet Shop. She will give me the money back. Also walked half a mile each way to school to get kids.... And then realised that it was try on uniform day at my DS school to be...

I went for things that size wise I thought should last at least 2 years on everything and only bought what was only available from the school. Even then the bill came to £80! Had to pay half now and half on arrival! So that is the blazer, tie, badge, apron and pe stuff done - but still need to get trousers and shirts! I am hoping that my MIL will pay as to be fair she usually does but who knows whether she will or not in practice! Her generosity has been an absolute godsend over the years! :A Very fortunately for us SHE is good with money and seems to actually enjoy spending it on her kids and grandkids!

My DD is currently playing with make up! She is so girly girly it is unreal!

Bye for now guys - hope you are having a good day!

Talking of eating. I had cereal (well what was left in the box) and toast for brekkie. Then Mr GG made me a bacon sarnie. Now I am super stuffed.

Also had the compulsory caffeine hit too. Mmmmmmm I do like my coffee.

Hope its sunny, bright and cheery where you are.

Hi GG it is sunny, bright and cheery here but I really struggled to sleep last night. I should get this job - but still may not due to an arbitary decision by someone.... I hate not knowing and it is really stressing me out - I wouldn't mind so much but I have NO idea when they are planning to give me an answer and the agency don't seem to know either...

    Stress!

£12 in M&S vouchers arrived today which is positive - hopefully that should mean my clubcard tokens arrived soon.

I still need to ring up my old work as my p45 is wrong - which means I won't get my tax back otherwise.

I have also been written to about my pension - which has a pretty good transfer value - if only I knew where to transfer it to....

    Decisions....

Hope everyone else has a great day!

thanks for the encouragement Mrs C. I am so grateful for this site and the £10 a day challenge :money:as it helps fund some of life's little luxuries that actually keep us going...

Glad it seems like constant progress to other people - feel like I am stuck in a dead end :o currently. I feel so near yet so far - I could get this job and literally my money worries would be pretty much over. We could be CC debt free in a year, be able to have a fab holiday (next year) and then make a start on tackling the mortgage... If I don't it could take up to 3 months to get to this point again.... I have to say I feel pretty down today!

Sh - it aint over til the fat lady sings.... and I've no inclination to even whistle at the mo.

By that, I mean, don't waste your time and efforts panicking over something that may not happen.

Who knows, they may have decided to offer you the job, but need to get sign off on the over inflated salary package they now want to tempt you with????

Now there's a positive thought! Thanks GG!
It is a public sector role - so I could have the job and they could still take a couple of weeks over telling me.... But they also snook in an internal candidate at final interview even tho apparently they weren't up to standard. I am worried that no matter how good I was they may "frig" the results to "save" someone they know!

On the same site as the snowball calculator - they have an earnings after tax and ni calculator. I keep playing with different figures in that and in my snowball to work out the difference higher starting salaries would make :rotfl:Put it this way it has made me more determined to ask for a higher start (within their banding) if they do offer it!
