Still struggling to sleep so no point going to bed yet! It is ridiculous that I am so stressed over these interview results since we can manage reasonably okay until end August anyway! But I absolutely hate being home all day - I am someone who is normally busy, busy, busy all the time and have a lot of my sense of identity from my work role!

HI Guys - still no news re the job!

I have moved some savings to an ISA today tho tripling the interest. It is with my current bank which has the advantage I can manage it online easily and get at it if we need to.

Struggling with motivation for anything today. May do a load of washing to try and get me kick started! It is grey and raining here which doesn't help either! Hope you are all having a better day!

Thanks Hypno and MrsC - it is hard to stay positive when news is delayed - I have to keep holding on to they could just be delayed because they are busy and I may still get the job! I would feel better if I had other interviews in the pipeline but they all seem to have dried up! Probably not kept up enough momentum on applying for jobs - but there haven't always been suitable ones to apply for!

On a different subject it is my DD's birthday party tomorrow so will have to go into town later to get the cake! We ended up with only 4 guests which to be honest is more manageable altho disappointing for her! She is also having a play date over later as DS had a playdate yesterday - argh!!!!! But helps me feel a better mum if you know what I mean... She doesn't get this chance when I am working as she is normally in after school club!

Hi.. I've just read upto page 9 or 10 but am feeling tired as DD was up really early!! I skipped to the last page hoping to read you'd got a job and all was fab. Sorry to hear that's not the case, got everything crossed for you. I'll read the rest of your diary when I get a spare hour! lol

Re your post on my diary, if you want to PM me the referral link for ipoints(the amazon vouchers) I'll happily do it if it will earn you extra points.

Well done on what you've achieved so far xx

popped on to see whether you had heard anything, but reading previous posts obviously not. I hope you hear something positive very soon.

I always think that i would love to be a stay at home mum, but in reality I know I would soon get bored, I am not a 'join every parent group going ' type of person :rotfl:

spent the afternoon gardening, which I really enjoyed, there is alot to do still but it is starting to look better

    hope you are all ok

edited to say: happy birthday to DD hope the party went well

Off to a mate's house shortly for coffee (very mse)! Survived my DD's home party - even with only 3 guests I feel like my ear drums are on fire! Boys are just so much easier! One of her little friends was asking for her mum within 5 mins of the party starting... After a sweet - and a game she did recover and then she was fine. My DD also nearly cried at one point as they were trying to say she had been kissing a boy when she only (ONLY) was hugging him!

I told my DS that my DD and her friends thought that his and another of his female friends were girlfriends and that they had nearly kissed! He couldn't believe it! I wouldn't mind but they are making up stories and they all go to the same school LOL!

OH managed to stay out of the way for most of the party - wasn't exactly a lot of support. My sister and her OH have now taken out my kids to give me and OH some peace. Silence really is golden!

Hope everyone else is having a good day! Managed to get 60p on my daily scratchcards today and nearly have enough points for another £5 from Bingoport too - every little helps
