Thanks Purpleclutterbuck for the visit - much appreciated! :TReally hope I get a job soon - I have all these plans to be debt and then mortgage free but they do all rely on one thing.... me having a job !! Having a month off work is great in that it has allowed me the time to see that if I could just get my debt repaid, we could then also be mortgage free about 6 or 7 years or so after that. Finally identified what we have been [STRIKE]spending[/STRIKE] wasting money on! Again - all that it requires is a job at the same level or better than the one I had before.....

Keep going - something will turn up, although I am sure it feels like the job market is against you right now.

Thanks Hypno :A I need all the positive thoughts I can get right now... Had tears in my eyes at the last couple of posts. I love these forums and the fact that people take time out to encourage and support others... Oh well at least I am still making progress on repaying our debts albeit much more slowly that I'd like. If I'd been jobless a year ago tho we would have been defaulting left right and centre (we are not in that danger zone any more).

I keep reading back over some of my early posts - we used to add to our debts at £1k a month when we had double the income that we have now! Now we have half the income and are still reducing debt - it is amazing  I've learnt so much about money management over this last year. OH is amazed and chuffed to bits. He exchanged a spendaholic for an mse addict - I am sure you can imagine which he prefers!

Yes, I think we should all re-read our first few posts from time to time, to really recognise just how far we have come. sometimes we lose sight of that fact, and can think that we are stuck in the same old situation.

Posts like your last one are a good reminder to us all that these changes we are making will truly get us through!

HI Swinstie and Karen - Thanks again for posting!

I've felt like eeyore with my only personal little black cloud for a few days but got up today at 10 (2.5 hours earlier than yesterday!!!) and feel a lot better. Probably because the sun is SHINING! I also applied for a job last night - and had to say in a particular format what my experience of x, y, z was and I felt proud of myself again and got a bit of confidence back! Hopefully I can apply for a few more jobs today and that would be even better. Also want to spend some time in the garden ideally - having bought a few more grow bags first!

1 little girl so far has accepted my DD's party invitation, I hope the others can come for her sake. Still waiting to hear back on 4! It probably would have helped if I had put the right date on the invites!

Hope the sun is shining where you are and that you have a no or low spend day!

Yeah for a big confidence boost! Sun is kind of shining here but sitting in as usual - only spent 60p today, am loving these PNSD's (practically no spending says)!

Hope your DD gets more acceptances, little girls love a party, I'm sure she will! x
