Slept a bit better last night
This am went to GP and have been given another sick note, referred to physio and have changed my tablets. Hopefully I should see some improvement soon. She thinks it would be good to see a private physio if I can as the referral could take 4 weeks. She also said I should try and do more little trips out!
Today I have spent approx
£3 on 7!! books from charity shop - Cash
£4 at a bargain shop on 3 packs of air fresheners, 2 packs of sugar, 2 tins of rice pudding and sweets - Cash
£7+ on a new prescription - CC
£2 on ibuprofen and cocodamol - Cash
£1.20 on pack of chips - Cash
£12 on gym course for my DD - Cash
Approx £30 ! all of which I had failed to budget for / would be classed as overspending even tho some of it was completely legit! DS also says I haven't given him his pocket money yet - so I need to get £10 out for that and due to gymnastic costs will need to get more money out to cover DD's dinners.
Normally I would just spend that kind of money without thinking or with vague regret. I am hoping that seeing it in black and white - will reduce impulse spending. At the same time - I am hoping the books will boost my happiness and give me something more positive to focus on than my painful knee!
I asked a friend if she was free to go out this week but doesn't look like it - so that is one cost less but I may see if a different friend is available one night as I need something to break up the week.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Keep on going, sorry to hear the knee is bad again.

Hi savingholmes, don't normally post on your thread, but saw it this morning. Hope you knee improves soon. On the prescription front is it worth getting one of the NHS prepayment cards, if you check on their website, if you use more than x number of prescriptions every I think 6 or 12 months, it's cheaper to get the certificate than pay each time. The site says how many prescriptions.0

Thanks se - I possibly should still check this however my doctor kindly gives me 2 months worth of tablets at a time. You pay per item rather than per quantity so this saves me 50% of the cost.Hi savingholmes, don't normally post on your thread, but saw it this morning. Hope you knee improves soon. I wish my Dr would do that, he gives me 2 months worth of the tablets I need regularly, but my inhalers I only get 1 a month. Did you ask your Dr if you could get 2 months or did they offer? I have the PPC at the moment and if I was able to get 2 months worth it would save me money as I could cancel the PPC (£10.25 a month at the mo) and only pay £7 odd every other month! Would save me around £60 ish a year!
Well done on BP, I lost track of BP as well as Butlins scratch while I was 'empty' I really must get back in the habit of it again!
