I can relate to that :) I spent quite a bit in the sales & am trying to justify it by saying to OH that we won't have lots of presents to buy during the year but I think I need to stop too!
I do have quite a few presents sorted - my issue is tho - in practice I am always good at finding bargains.... Did I really need to risk my finances now to buy in advance?

Magic candle anyone? :rotfl:Ebay are selling then for £4.99 and I got mine for £1.99 so you can imagine I am quite pleased with that.... but even so.... Have considered buying more and trying to sell them on ebay..... but don't know where to start.... to make sure I get enough profit

    On an organisation update

We tipped DS's old bed today (wasn't fit to freecycle) - Now just need to collect newer one from sis's house.

OH also took at least 3 bags of rubbish to the tip (bins are full)

I took a full bag of stuff to the charity shop and picked up some more empty ones.... Still plenty left to do!

I am going to contact a solicitor before sending the accident info off to them as the insurance is not quite set up like I thought it was...

I am also going to go to the gp this week to try and get some physio and may up my tablets...

I think I will also pay a private physio assessment.

I have looked into whether hiring an automatic car would help me get to work but it would be at least £270 per week so isn't doable. Other options would be to use a mixture of trains and taxis but that would also cost around £150 minimum I think a week compared with previous costs of around £50 per week. I could possibly stay with a relative but think if it took a long time for my knee to heal that that would be really bad for me and my kids.... I can't see what else I can do for the moment. At least the £80 a week is something....

I couldn't get to sleep last night until about 3am for worrying about finance but also worrying about going back to a job I hate....

My Asda delivery has now arrived - ironically minus the dishwasher tablets so that saved me £8 and brought me closer to my budget!

    How's everyone else?

Struggled to sleep last night again -hope tonight is better.

Well DS has given me £4.05 change from last week and I found £3.50 in a coat pocket. I think I am going to treat that as over and above this week's budget - although - I have used some of the £4 or so in my purse for DD's school dinner today and will likely use the rest tomorrow.

My favourite doctor is not in until tomorrow so not done anything on that front yet. Still not had confirmation of my pay today but have been promised its on its way.

Just checked my money - I have been paid £360 less than normal - which I am presuming is because I didn't send my receipts off. It would have been less anyway as I have done less travel with having xmas off etc and some working from home days. I expected £200 less but not £360 less!

I really need to find the relevant receipts and input them - and input the 3 remaining days I did work. Hopefully I will then get paid for those days effectively tax free! I need to pick up my sick note tomorrow and send those all off too!

Sounds like things are still tough for you. It really doesn't help when you can't sleep for worry does it?
I hope some of the paperwork brings financial reward.

    thanks jellie and milann

Well Monday was on budget at least - only spent the £2 for DD's dinner!

Trying really hard to get my next bp voucher! I am way off any scratchcard redeems!

Probably should do a few survey sites and try a few cashback sites tomorrow see if I can reach payout levels with them. I think I have £8 sat with valued opinions - need to get to £10 to pay out...
