Good to see you sorting out a couple of things from that list!
I'm also glad your knee is improving.

I know it's difficult but try and see things like sorting out sick notes, accident info etc as steps to getting out of the job! Every penny you get back helps you to be more secure if you decide you want to leave. Hopefully now you're feeling a bit better you'll be able to get some job hunting done.
You've really shown amazing persistence and resilience with all you've coped with. I'm sure it will be rewarded!

Thanks Jellie - that is so nice...

I am hoping the back dated tax credit can be put towards debt when I get it.

Still need to do expenses, sick notes etc. Sat here watching xfactor in america! So funny!

I also watched martin lewis earlier - trying to save someone £1k and made suggestions worth £7K+ I wonder what he could do with our budget - already made a lot of savings.... Sure there is more I can still do!

I think I should volunteer- I think I would give him more of a challenge - I think he would still succeed tho:money:

I think OH will be able to mend the ipod - just waiting for all the parts to arrive.

By the way I got a freebie mascara today worth £5.99 today thro the freebie board1

Hi positive and cmd - nice of you to drop in.

Knee is reasonable today - did end up taking extra painkillers last night as it was stopping me sleeping - but still a lot less tablets than earlier in the week.

Got some really depressing post today - I had apparently missed paying 2 CC bills. I am really surprised. I thought one was on DD but evidently not - will have to get OH to ring up and grovel on that one. The other one - I think he should grovel too and try and get the default payment takien off - I hadn't even seen the bill which I think was OH's fault - therefore hadn't arranged to pay it. I could scream with frustration!

I haven't watched the film "bucket list" but apparently it is about 2 men who decide to make a list of things they want to do before they die...

Anyway there are certain things I have never done despite the fact I will turn 40 this year....
One of them is go to a pop concert - so I have booked for me and DS to go and see JLS !! and for OH and I to go and see Norah Jones !! later this year! I am chuffed to bits although we will be £145! worse off financially as a result!
Expensive!!! But a first for us! Need to try and raise some money methinks to make up for it!

I promise that I will send off the stuff to my umbrella company this weeked - that will be a good start!

Still need to pick up sick note but that will need to wait until Monday now... should be there waiting for me... They did say they would ring me to let me know it was ready but don't think they did

I have had to take some co-codomol today so knee still not as good as I would like but there we go.....

    Hope everyone is okay....

Asda sent me a voucher for their online shopping service - so think will place an order now for next week - that should help prevent some impulse spending

  • Hello!

How are things in the Holmes Household?

Wish Martin Lewis would give me an overhaul! By that I mean my financial bits and bobs, as clearly I am a happily married woman!
