Hi SC pleased to hear your good news re your MIL LOL!

My MIL loved her basket - she hates hospitals as much as I do! I put hygenic wipes and all sorts in! They are keeping her in over night but hopefully that should be enough to resolve the issue. She is on medication and a drip but as soon as she'd had that she wanted to go home!!!! Naturally OH and others told her she couldn't but at least it suggests she was feeling better!

Hi SC and lurkers they have let my MIL out of hospital for now... Luckily for the sanity of her and us she isn't planning to stay with us at the mo... She is very houseproud and would struggle with our more laissez faire aproach LOL! (translate bombsite)!

She seems to be doing much better - have spoken to other relatives who live closer to her who are making sure she's okay. I hope to perhaps see her briefly tomorrow. She looked after our kids all last week plus fed my OH one night and never mentioned once she was feeling so poorly :A. Bless...

Well we finally had another NSD yesteday - hope to have one today too!

My DS was sobbing last night... someone had told him that his picture had been posted on a dating website and he was convinced that he would therefore be "stolen"! Perhaps we haven't quite got the balance right in explaining dangers to our kids :o - we try not to wrap them in cotton wool but I have talked about "dangers" posed to him in perhaps too much detail at times.... At least he told us about it straightaway. We explained to him it was a danger but that we would get the picture removed and contact the police if necessary - after which he got some sleep.

My OH looked into it this morning - he had to disable all our parental controls to access the site - which featured the proverbial scantily clad women - so we think it was just a hoax by a (named) school friend who was trying to trick him into visiting a p o r n site  It was the sort of site that to register with would have required e-mail confirmation so we are pretty sure that he hasn't been registered for real  I think I will be having words with the lad concerned's parents as they need to know he is visiting sites like that as he sent my DS a link....! I think the media term for this is "sexual bullying". My OH isn't convinced we have enough info to do that.... It is annoying - especially as like I said it had my DS sobbing, worrying it meant that he would be picked out to be kidnapped!

Hope to have a more peaceful rest of day!

SH crikey thats terrible for DS I cant believe youngsters are doing these things, it certainly seems like a form of bullying, mind you kids dont always think things through and do things 'for a laugh' unacceptable behaviour which ever way you look at it
glad MIL is ok and even more glad she is not staying with you :rotfl:

we have been in the garden chopping trees :j been trying to persuade OH to do it for ages, got to the point where I was going to get a tree surgeon, think that spurred him on knowing it would probably cost in excess of £300 !
although it meant my do nothing day was up the spout , its worth it I hope he finishes it tomorrow ( one more to lop and tidy up the others )

Thanks SC - glad you have had a productive day in the garden. MIL rang me she is now home and feeling much better. We did a couple of hours in the garden too. My DD has decided it is time to learn to ride her bike. We've raised her saddle, pumped her tires and adjusted her brakes. Her friend is busy telling her you learn by falling off and you might end up in hospital - the kind of encouragement we don't need LOL

I was cleaning old bikes earlier and wondering why one of them was really scratched but I think DS did learn by falling off lots! no serious injuries though... and a sore back for me trying to hold onto the back and keep him upright! ouch! still it's healthy and free entertainment.

P.S. Just read your diary and hope a job comes your way soon.
