sorry you didnt get the job, very frustrating, but is all experience and hopefully will be useful for other interviews.
enjoy your time off with the kids.

Evening,
Sorry to hear about the job - what a pain  Positive thinking though, everything happens for a reason:D
Hope you are enjoying some well earned chill out time and have fun with the kids!

Oh No!
Temporary quick fix measure, get him to sit on an ice pack whilst in the car.... should cool him down in no time. Plus cheap remedy too!** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

:TThanks for the encouragement all - it does help!:A
SC hope your OH gets over his sulk soon. My OH is being very supportive currently and wants me to get the right job not just any job.... We think we can manage reasonably comfortably until the end of June after which things will start to get uncomfortable I think!
My DD came home tonight and ran down the path and gave me a massive hug and lots of kisses and told me how much she'd missed me. My DS gave me a big hug but only when I went looking for him but bless - he said he was letting my DD have a turn.... We do have such good kids.:D
My DD is thrilled as she already has 3 easter eggs and my DS only has 1 :rotfl:Considering you get them for £1 at the moment it seems quite funny....
I've hoovered the lounge but the rest of the room still looks like a bombsite.... Hopefully now we have a few days off together we can get things more under control!
:easter: Hope you all have a great easter weekend - try not to eat too much chocolate....:EasterBunAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well I just got my OH to check when the O% expires on his card - May apparently but then it will go to just under 3.5%!!! and apparently he can transfer other balances to it. That is really good news as we still owe around £5K on that one! (It would cost around 3% to do the credit tart thing and keep moving it around).
His other 0% card rate ends in July - potentially we could xfer some of the debt on that to the one above although I expect there would be a xfer fee. What that basically means is it is the second card rather than the first I should prioritise for repayment. Still not worth using savings on it until July tho....
There don't seem to be that many interest free deals out there... Barclays did offer me a 6 month deal recently at 1.5% handling fee when I negotiated :money:- that is still open I took the person's name down and everything so we could "buy" ourselves 6 months of relief! They offered it me when I was planning to close the account. By 6 months I hopefully should be back in employment!
One of my old cards sent me a deal today 3% xfer fee and 4.94% for life which again is not that bad a deal..... problem is that I would need to use it by May but we don't need it until July so I think we would probably give this one a miss...;)
On another note my free daily scratchcards gave me £4.30 yesterday :j only 30p today tho LOL
I actually had a day off from job hunting yesterday it was a nice feeling.... Ideally I do need to look for some more roles to apply for.... It would be nice to spend time with the kids for a few days tho without worrying about it. OH thinks I should after the hectic week I had last week! I think I will perhaps apply for a few Monday and then take it from there.
Thinking of taking the kids to see my sister one day next week and helping her with her garden.... that should be fun!;) HI SIS
I cooked some lovely roast beef yesterday ready for today to take some of the effort out - got frozen roasties cooking in the oven and we are going to have a super delicious lunch! Can't wait... Do you think we shoudl get dressed first :rotfl:?
Hope everyone else is having a good weekend!:beer:Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

SH i have been looking at my cc's too, I have been offered several 0% deals over 6 months with 3% transfer fee, but when I worked it out it didnt pay me too move my debt as the transfer fee negated the 0% bit and it didnt save me anything
so staying put , I did get a deal a while ago with no transfer fee so i'll wait and see if that comes up again
saw this book and thought of us ( me anyway :rotfl:) i'll post this link on Ruby''s thread just in case she is interested.
have a lovely easter everybody, i hope no-one eats too much choccy lol0 -
Well we've been to church, come home got DD to hide DS's eggs in back garden and DS to hide DD's eggs in the front - they came back with a grand total of 22 each. You will be pleased to know most of them were tiny!!! They are both thrilled.
We had a gorgeous roast from what I cooked Friday so that really took the pressure off.
We did loads in the garden yesterday - unfortunately spent £20+ on bits for it eg feed and weed, grow bags, hose pipe attachment etc... OH was going to buy a lawn edger until I pointed out we already had one. Planning to go back out there today and dig up some plants to take to my sister's Tuesday.
She moved to a rented house a few months ago which has a bit of an over-grown garden but hardly any plants and her OH to be is keen to plant some stuff.... My sister up to now has shown a unique ability to kill stuff off so I am hoping that he is green fingered enough to balance this out LOL!
Hope you are all having a fab weekend! The weather is about 16 degrees here and has really cheered us all up!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
