  • well it took me 20 minutes to find the right house but my cleaner has agreed to come back from next week. She has said she will ring me one night to agree the day - result!

Yay - am delighted for you SavingH. Onwards and upwards. Just think of that nice pay cheque next week :)

Thanks CMD - payday next week will be great. I have also agreed I will submit December's hours early so that I can get paid again in December and then do a 5 week timesheet Jan!

I just posted the extract below on another thread - but on the Make £10 a day challenge these are the sorts of things I do...

    1. bingoport (I could refer you once they set the link back up or you could go direct - you can get amazon vouchers from them) - I average £5 a week
    2. I have a cashback credit card and buy almost everything on it - that gives me about £15 every 3 months
    3. I have tesco clubcard points - I get between £10 and £20 every 3 months
    4. I have a morrisons petrol points card and get a £5 voucher a couple of times a year
    5. I have a nectar card which I am rubbish with but probably get about £5 a year
    6. I do quidco and other cashback sites - exploiting gambling loopholes, film trials, free trials etc for dosh - had about £400-500 from them just me - plus OH has had at least another £100 on top for things I set up for him
    7. I win on bingo sometimes when I exploit gambling loopholes (i could send you a separate pm on that) as I am talking about where a cashback site pays you £20 to risk £10 - sometimes you win. I signed up to between 10 and 20 sites. Bingo brit ain has got a fab loophole at the mo - read page 86 of hypnos diary to find out more
    8. boots advantage card - there is a thread on the "shop but don't drop" part of the forum dedicated to how to get the most from your boots card - I have had about £30 or so through that this year
    9. I occasionally do surveys
    10. I occasionally sell stuff
    11. I count profit on mileage
    12. I count any money or vouchers given us for whatever reason
    13. I do free daily scratchcards and get between £20 and £35 a month through that
Those are the things that come to mind.... There are probably others.... I used to do printable vouchers but a lot of companies don't accept them any more....

If you sign up to places like lenor etc they will send you free vouchers so if you use the stuff anyway that can be worth doing... I tend to do this via the freebie board and also get lots of freebies... Rimmel, Maxfactor etc are good for sending out full size samples

    Hope that helps

    Hi Imd

I think it is good to train the kids up to do stuff - but in the mad tidy round for MIL - even my DD who is 6 was using a dust pan and brush to clean the hall! I think I only have about 90 mins each night with DD at the mo Mon-Thurs, then all time after school Friday and weekends - the last thing I want to be doing is wasting that precious time on housework! DS is a bit older - and its a bit different for him. He is also up a minimum of an hour longer so it is easier to get time with him in theory anyway.

My OH is missing out on time with me too! We have a works meal planned for the 18th so that will have to serve as our date night for now!

  • My rota idea was that we all did a couple of jobs a day which would only take about 10 mins and mean we have weekend free. At the moment me and OH are running around on a Friday night which is not ideal! Once I am a bit straighter financially then the cleaner is on her way back!

Trying to type with wet nails is not easy!

Thanks guys. Verbatim - I am assuming you meant my cleaner LOL!

I feel better just knowing I am getting her back - it is a weight off my mind and a decision I have been trying to make for weeks!

Need to get my act together and get out of the door to work now. Only a day and half of this work week left... Can't wait for tomorrow lunchtime LOL. This week has felt very tiring!

Am trying to persuade a friend they want to take me to ikea to get DS's bed. They have a massive car/van and even if I gave them £10 for petrol is would save on the otherwise £35 delivery charge...

  • That is a great list SavingH!

I do a lot of them. Would love a cashback card but don't think I would get one as we only moved a few months ago and were only living in the other flat for 4 months before that so it doesn't look very good!
