Well tonight - we went to a friend from OH's work - they had a bonfire, fireworks and barbecue. It was fab. The fireworks were display quality and it was DD's first ever real bonfire! Unfortunately tho I fell over in the dark - and wrenched my arm - so am hoping that this doesn't cause me any major issuesAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hope the arm is ok and you are able to fully enjoy weekend. I haven't been out of the house today so a nsd which I am quite pleased about as they are few and far between lately.
I need to get my head around a serious list - just to see what I really have left to get and not what I think I have left in for Christmas presents LOL.
Really hoping the pay comes through for you this week - how can they expect you to work for NOTHING and all the travelling too - naughty naughty employers.

hi bz, verbatim and milann
I've spent too much today and a lot of it was unnecessary! Vaguely xmassy
Arm is twinging slightly but nothing serious!
I've been sent a text to say I will be paid monday by my umbrella company. I am a little worried the rate is wrong as it didn't add up right the other day...
I only have my dad's pressie and DS's day bed to buy
Good luck BZ with OH's lightbulb. Good luck milann with the xmas shopping! Verbatim - don't know much about you - hope you are okay!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'm fine thanks. Have you got your lift to IKEA sorted? Glad your arm's not too bad.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420

hi verbatim - I have someone who has agreed to take me to ikea we just need to work out a date. My arm twinges occasionally when I am driving but I don't think it will be a long term problem.
I didn't got to church today as I was too exhausted... I woke up from a lovely dream where we had bought a house right by the sea and it was fab - and a great quality of life... wonder why such escapism appeals LOL!
I still have so much to do this weekend - I've done most of the washing - but it still needs sorting and putting away. I have loads of xmas presents to wrap. DD want to put up the xmas tree but I would want to empty some stuff out of the lounge before we did that so not done it yet! etc
DS has gone to play somewhere he hasn't been before - I am not sure they will get on - so hope he is not hating it too much. He asked to go tho!

Well was kind to myself this weekend so spent most of it resting - even having my groceries delivered! Not got much done... Did the washing but none of it has been put away!
Busy week ahead... OH is out all of next saturday gaming with his mates! More importantly taking my car! I need someone to give my DD a lift to a dress rehearsal in the next town for the church play - she is going to be Mary - bless! She was Mary in her first year at school but this year she is just a guest but that is fair enough....
So MIL is back over Wednesday to see school play - ouch does that mean I need to tidy up (the day before my cleaner starts back!!!)
I originally thought - not a problem taking my car as we could walk into town or get a bus - but didn't know about the dress rehearsal at that point! Still got DS and my Dad's pressies to buy too... time running out LOL
I've wrapped most of DS's pressies - everyone else's still to do!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
