Well just got 10ps on daily scratchcards today but my amazon voucher from bp came thro which is great. Will be getting OH one of his xmas presents - a Dr Who box set!!
I need to leave for work very shortly! I was supposed to see an agency tonight about a perm job but they haven't sent me any further info so don't know if that will come off. Another agency has been in touch via linkedin again to discuss a poss perm role on more like the money I have earned in the past or better.... I am still keeping my options open but want to make the most of the opportunity I do have too! Perm jobs can take 3 months or more to go thro the process anyway!!
Hope you all have a good day! Feel on tenterhooks now as don't know if definitely have an interview tonight... Think will take a spare top and extra makeup with me LOL just in case!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi - Well had a good day - got out as planned at lunchtime.
I saw that Marks and Spencers had a deal on meal and wine for 4 for £15. So I bought a few and frozen them and saved the wine for xmas hampers!
Spoken to an agency about a really nicely paid job today - wrong location but money would be worth it and I might be able to go by train - thro linked in again. I am now up to 39 connections on linked in so really pleased with that. I do highly recommend it to any job seekers or people needing to network as part of their job!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It helped that I had worked at one particularly big company for over a decade! A lot of my contacts are from there - but I also have some from the shorter roles I have had in recent years!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well OH took DS to cinema today - they watched vampires assistant and loved it....
I took DD round the shops and to McDonalds for a McFlurry. She showed great restraint in the shop 49p plastacine and 19p sweets - given that she had £7 she did really well at not spending the lot!
Wanted some cushions but they were out of stock. I picked up a couple of striped red and cream cushions yesterday for the lounge - they passed the family seal of approval and wanted a couple more plus a couple for DS for xmas but it wasn't to be. Really hope they get more in very soon!
BHS had 20% off day today so I picked up a gorgeous floaty dress for DD, some socks for me !!!! and a couple of advent calendars on buy one get one free. Vaguely mse I suppose!
We had a chippy lunch but that was £7.90!!!! We would have been better off with one of those "expensive" M&S meals LOL!
I really need to do a grocery shop but not done a proper one for 2 weeks at least now - just picked up odd bits.
Hope you're all okay! Also paid in the cheque for last week's favour so that should help our bank account out for a bit!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well after spending a fortune on lunch - we went back to emptying the fridge and freezer!
I had tuna melt jacket spud,
OH had jacket spud, beans and cheese
DD had a piece of fish from the freezer, micro chips and beans
DS found a container of frozen chilli and rice and heated it up.
Quite pleased with that as brings food spend for the day back to reasonable level!
Done some washing and cleaning today. Found a broken bulb that still worked complete with scorching on nearby surfaces - so that was a lucky safety find!
DD is watching strictly at the mo - but luckily it is her bed time and I can swap to xfactor!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
